Don't even care about this lens, just here to hear what Ken thinks about it. Thanks Ken, been using your website for over 2 decades now.
AWESOME!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
I am shocked that such a versatile digital screen was implemented by a third party lensmaker first, much less a Chinese brand. Bravo Viltrox.
Exactly. Hope Nikon can get its act together, but I gave up and moved to Canon around 2012. I vote with my dollars rather than wait. Thanks!
@@KenRockwellTV”Get its act together”? Nikon has produced some stellar products in the past few years. And perfect for the working pro, surprised by your statement. To each his own.
Loving the metal construction of a lot of these lenses!
Me too! Sad day when the cameras makers make such disposable rubbish that 3rd parties make better!
Love your reviews!
Thanks so much!
I really like the focusing distance scale exhibited on this lens. It is 2024; every manufacturer should include this sort of design.
Agreed, I can do without it, but if you're going to do it, do it like this and not the foolish window dressing Nikon did. I remember the old days when Nikon was number one.
Thank you Viltrox thinks of every detail down to the raised red dot so you can feel it in the dark.
Simply looking at lenses from 50 years ago shows us ergonomics done right. I’m more disenchanted how today lens makers, in the name of making things different and new, make products worse. Thanks!
Hi Ken, nice Viltrox lens and well built, and the images are great and the colours. Does that Blue display have a Focus to infinity icon, maybe it's a silly question 😂. Great to watch another one of your videos. 😊
The display has a black background; looks blue here due to my crappy cinematography. There’s a clear and precise infinity mark on the LCD for manual focus, and here’s how to program the Fn2 button to focus to infinity kenrockwell.com/tech/viltrox/16mm-f18.htm#preset
Cheers thanks Ken 😊
I really want this lens!!
Thanks and malama pono.
Great video! Can you do Viltrox 85mm 1.8?! Also waiting for the Z6III video!
I have AstrHori 85/1.8. Worth what you pay for it; iffy optics in a metal AF mount.
Thanks again.
You're welcome!
Please do a review on your Macan!
It’s up at www.kenrockwell.com/porsche/macan.htm and also ruclips.net/video/GU-gV1dC8tU/видео.html Thanks!
I have this lens. Nice photos, but I wish the Lens hood would stay on! (Way too loose!)
Like the metal construction of these lenses. In these modern days of everything plastic, it’s nice to pick up a solid metal lens.
Me too. Solid build, solid optics, fn buttons and lightweight price sold me.
Hey Mr Ken, is there something I can do for you for a hard drive to help me have space to continue to work on my project to help me get back on track in life as soon as possible? I can do logo and many more, let me know if you need anything, it will be really appreciated if you can offer me anything!
I bought three of these amzn.to/3XIe31D for myself. They're much better than the WD Notebook drives I bought - and returned. Thanks!
@@KenRockwellTV i see, but I not in a place I can afford even the basic one, hence I seek for some freelance works, do you have anything to offer me to provide something for you? :-)
Can you help me pack ❤ I’m traveling to Atlanta for a week from Canada 🇨🇦 I don’t know what to bring I am shooting aps c
I have my t6s and iPhone 12 Pro Max and eos m
I have all aps c lenses and primes
10-18mm
18-135mm
55-250mm
And for primes
22mm pancake f2
24mm stm 2.8
50mm f1.8 stm
15-45mm eos m kit lens
17mm f1.4
35mm f1.7
And for my manual primes
28mm f2.8
55mm f1.2
100mm f2.5 Nikon
135mm f2.8
80-200mm Olympus f3.5
I have so many lenses and I just want to be light and happy 😢help me!
Please what do I bring
I also have a 430 ex flash 🎉❤
What do I bring? ❤😊
T6s and iPhone. T6s has a flash, so the EX430 stays home. Take the T6s and EFS 10-18mm, EFS 18-135mm and I'd leave EVERYTHING else, even the 55-250mm, at home. Thanks!
@@KenRockwellTV you are my hero, thank you so so so so much, I wasn’t expecting this. I thought you would be including the 55-250mm definition of clarity. I can’t wait to try this out and report back with how it is.
Definitely going to brush up on your wide angle article, and yes you’re right the 430ex flash is just too heavy I used to have a 220ex but it broke.
Also… iPhone yes I agree to this, and I don’t need to bring the manual primes because that requires a tripod
Less is more
And it reminds me
Creativity is maximized when attention is focused and options are limited.
This will help me so much with my travels and my back!
Thank YOU 🫶🏼😭🙏❤️ love from Vancouver Canada
A lot of people have reported that the distance measurement scale in the LCD screen is way off the mark and basically inaccurate and unusable.
Mine works fine - but the in-finder display in my Z8 is way off. The one on the lens is fine.
Chinese product: buy it today breaks tomorrow
Still working!
Thanks for this review sir and i hope my website mistype e-mails don't bother you too much
No worries! Thank you!
