  • This time-lapse video shows the quilting sandwich (marked top fabric, wool wadding and backing fabric) being put together, tacked and trimmed to size.
    This is the second of a series of time-lapse videos show the making of one of Sandie's Paisley Cot Quilt designs - Rhuthr Aur (Gold Rush). They were on show at Sandie's Paisley Pageant exhibition at the Welsh Quilt Centre, Lampeter, South Wales in 2022.

    After you basted your layers, you did something to the edges. What did you do?

      I folded one fabric edge over the other layers, (back over front or front over back) to prevent everything fraying while working on the quilt. This is really useful on a big quilt as it will take months of work before the quilting is finished.
