This comes with a foil crew card now check their website. Though my account says it’s on pre order status and it could be up to two months before I see it.
No disputing that the website says with preorders you get the foil card. I did not receive one - although to be fair mine is NOT a preorder, but a review copy.
i like the ideas of alternate paints, different ship registry's etc nit it would be nice further down the line when the game is more established to have them with more ship variety or new, slightly more niche officers or even generic officers with new artwork.
This is a great item to purchase if your primary goal is to collect ships. The nice thing, is that if you get into the game, you already have the extra components to add this to a core set or different expansion.
It is a nice ship! I was also surprised at the lack of a line officer and cards for the saucer separation - this is definitely geared towards collectors and gamers wanting a different color scheme.
At the very least they could have made it different then the core box edition. I think I'm disappointed that I spent $42 on this. It should be a very limited edition at the very least.
It's very dissapointing to already be dealing with doubles of models. Given that the Enterprise has the potential to generate at least 10 different hulls I completely fail to understand why they decided to go with a double. They could have at least given the galaxy in the starter the Odyssey registry.
@@wookiemartmaybe they'll give us different versions of piccard but at least give all the cards that come with the Enterprise D normally as far as equipment or whatever.
@@chiju I think I would have preferred a battle worn version if it actually has a use in game. I guess I just still don't know what to make of it and what its use is if it will always be weird to have two Enterprise D's on the table at the same time. And I don't think they included all the cards like the title for instance so technically you can't even have two of them on the table at the same time anyway?
Bizarre product. At the very least they could have left the name & registry blank and provided some decals for other Galaxies. Even someone who wanted the Enterprise-D as a display piece but had no interest in the game seems less likely to be interested in this weird metallic finish which fits with no other Trek shio range I can think of.
If it had the enterprise crew it would actually have been worse as this is a double of the galaxy in the starter. Forcing people to double purchase to get exclusive content is the best way to get the villagers to grab their pitchforks and torches. And I agree, there is no point to this product.
The ship packs are just bling and are aimed at collectors, not gamers. The intention is that gamers will not have to buy every ship pack that comes out to have all the content or be competitive, but will only need the exploration packs (which will come with ships). In fact, if you look at the packaging, there is no mention of Into the Unknown whatsoever except as an afterthought in the description on the back. It's a collector's piece first and foremost. Compatibility with a game is just a bonus.
I'm a little disappointed that it didn't come with a foil Enterprise D title card. That was a missed opportunity. Plus, it would have been a good time to add the TNG crew cards.
A foil title card would have been cool, but crew cards need to stay in the main products (unless they're alt art, which would also be cool). There's no need to force gamers to buy every model just for a meta piece of cardboard or two that's included in each one.
@chiju Personally, I don't think Picard or the Enterprise D should have been in the starter set, considering we never see it fight in the Dominion War. The USS Galaxy, the USS Odyssey, or the USS Venture would have been better options.
A good opportunity, yes. However, WizKids was looking to sell this specifically to ship collectors and not necessarily those playing the game. Early on, WizKids stated that this model would not have anything new in it.
@@IONRadio I wish it said that on the website, how many enterprises am I going to end up buying... And if it's collectible why isn't it a limited edition. I'm considering canceling my order especially if down the road there's another Enterprise for sale that has a different registry. This game looks really awesome and I want to have all of the content but this product seems like it's not part of the game or it's for people that didn't buy the game. Still confused.

I'm going to make a different ship registry' for it as the USS GALAXY, with decals

We believe that this is probably coming down the pipe later on in production cycle of Into the Unknown.
Looks great. I didn't buy the core set, so I'm excited for this ship

could you compare the ship size to other star trek ships you own?
Nice! I'm looking forward to getting my hands on this hopefully soon! Surprised this one didn't include the one generic officer.
I was hoping it would be a generic Galaxy with new ship titles and officers. Kinda disappointed that it is just the starter ship with a paint job.
It is a nice ship! I was also surprised at the lack of a line officer and cards for the saucer separation - this is definitely geared towards collectors and gamers wanting a different color scheme.
@Crabbok. No foil card? I just don't see the point. This better be a limited edition so I don't feel like I completely blew $42.
If it's a pre-order it should of came with one
I would have an extra enterprise that was always seperated so you don't risk breaking the ship. Like the metallic paint as well
So the question that needs asking is... why the hell isn't the galaxy in the starter the Odyssey instead?

It is different from the core set. It's shiny.

It's shiny ❤
Definitely shiny. Clearly, it needs to feature in an upcoming mission report and have the model get swapped out once it takes damage.
@@IONRadio yeah that's all I can come up with, weather/phaser damage the starter version.

That's what I thought ... that we'd get some more TNG officer cards. I think I'll skip this one.

Wizkids is confusing
What's confusing about launching a line of collectible ship models that just so happen to be compatible with a game they also sell?
@@chiju it's not a limited edition though, how collectible could it be? I bought the thing and I'm confused.
Shameless cashgrab
