January 2024 has sure been one to remember. Day 2 of the year, Miguel got surgery to repair his clavicle, leaving with 7 screws and a large titanium plate as a souvenir. And a week later on Day 9 of the year, Jenna got laid off from her job of 4.5 years in a mass layoff of the majority of her department. As we navigate this strange time when life doesn't seem to make much sense anymore, the pool has become our sanctuary. The training continues, as always, but in different ways than usual.
Miguel's still getting his mobility back in preparation for his second pro triathlon season, and Jenna's starting to clock harder weeks of training with all her new free time.

Hey im only on age group Athelete but at 19 i was hit by a car while road biking i had this surgery which got infected and required FIVE more... i had to do this recovery FIVE times and each time I got mentally stronger.
I am now FIVE times more resilient and honestly would not be the person I am today. Stick in there you got this 😊

In 2021 i tore the AC ligament in my shoulder after falling off my bike. It was a grade 3 tear but i opted for no surgery. Took my PT very seriously and only one year later i was pressing 85lb dumbbells overhead with no pain and full range of motion. Stay positive MM

How 🤯🤯 I had wrist surgery 5 weeks ago and it took a week to finally feel human and all pain to stop!!

Also I used one of those bone healer things when I broke my foot 10 years ago, it did heal up nice and fast but that could just be me being the hulk. Good luck!
