How much helpful these features for the commerce students for getting good salaried jobs? Do these really increase the skills and make the employer to pay you more?
I can't even explain how much i appreciate your hard work. You are such a great person. I have been watching you for 4 years. I can't sleep everyday without watching a random video for you. You are a master in excel. I respect your passion about providing free tutorials for all of us. Thank you alot
For a few years now, "Thursdays w/Leila" is calendar 'must-watch' appointment for me... it is the VERY first thing I do in the morning. But when I saw this mornings title, I disappointingly thought "... eh ... 🥱 ... probably not for me ..." and went on to deal with other pressing items. Once they were done, and because I am big fan, I half heartedly returned to watch today's video ... and within the FIRST minute found myself thinking " oh ... interesting ... I did not know that ... " ... and then repeated that same comment for the next 15 minutes. So ... I was wrong (again) to doubt Professor Leila ... mea culpa ... but I can make amends and with the recently expanded coverage, happily I do get to "see each other" more often ... which is a good thing ... a very good thing.
You are a blessing. No ego, humility and pure class. If I were the Queen of England, I will make you a Dame for Services to Excel Users. Thank u for being there. Profound!
Dear Leila, I have discovered your channel and your courses and I am delighted. You are an incredible teacher, you explain everything in a clear, calm and pleasant way, the videos are excellently edited and you seem to me an incredible person. Please continue to share such interesting videos!
People spend their free time stalking Instagram, but I enjoy watching Leila's Excel tutorials for fun. Trust me, my Excel skills have reached a whole new level thanks to the valuable knowledge I've gained from her. Every time Leila uploads a new tutorial, I learn something new from it.
This RUclips channel is almost too good to be true. Tons of great stuff in here. I've only watched a handful of videos and my productivity already skyrocketed.
Yet she's a definite blessing for the rest of us as a good teacher. Should you need MS Access support, look for Richard Rost, as he's been at it since the early days (1990s). He's even going back through some of his early tutorials and redoing them, with today's standards.
◘ Grouping instead of hiding columns or rows. While most of us know these, but also tend to forget about them when not in use. This video was a great refresh to anyone who uses excel in different manner other than accounting. Great video, always straight to point in a calm manner.
Hi, the learning videos are great, thank you ! Although I felt that I want to practice at the same time while watching the video, it would be nice if you could leave us a practice spreadsheet to use.
I'm glad I came across your channel. I have a language school and we have an accountant of course but I do the pre-accountancy by myself. You taught me a lot about Excel so thanks!
I was just looking for subtotal options! I’m in audit, and loving all the recent accounting related videos! Would appreciate to see more videos of text to excel conversion of standard ERP report (for instance, Oracle disbursement listing that comes in text format).
I do not like the subtotals method. It modifies the data table and reduces flexibilty for other uses. I prefer to leave the data and build a Pivot Table providing the summary. The Pivot Table can be resorted, Filtered or changed in other ways to identify particular data points.
Great clear videos, other suggestions Getting average weighted values in a sheet total and in a pivot formula Changing pivot to classic view, don't like new format Special view for selecting blanks, handy when you need it What if option Forecast option

Respect for you from Pakistan. I am a huge fan of you, and got maximum knowledge from your videos of Excel and Power BI. and often surprise my seniors with new graphical techniques learned from your channel time to time. Just want to add one thing, "once the data is in Table Format, this subtotal function cannot be utilized. after applying the subtotals, the data can be converted to Table of if the data is in Table Format, convert the data into range first and then apply subtotal function.". stay blessed and please keep it up 🙂
Explanation is more professional, one can easily understand. Hats off to your efforts. You are one of the Best Instructor for Microsoft Excel, VBA, Power Query etc.,
I learn so much with every video, Leila. Can you do a video about Excel versions -- what version you are currently using, what version is widely used, what version we should request our IT department consider upgrading to, etc. I realized I don't have Xlookup and I started wondering what else I can't do. What happens if a client sends along an xls with an Xlookup function that I can't read? Thanks
I'm glad you find the videos useful. The version I use is Excel for Office 365. That's the version that has XLOOKUP and all of the newest features. It's the version every company should be using.
You cover a lot and you do it very well. So it ‘small things, and not really fair to mention, but one option under ”Go to Special” that’s useful is Blanks, that is if you want to fill with the info in i.e. the cell above, all there is to do is typing an equal sign = and make reference to the cell above, and the list will complete without blanks. But be aware that there now are formulas in the range, and it might be best to turn them into constants. And in using the Pivot table, it can be useful to set a checkmark in the lower-left corner “Add this data to the Data Model” doing that you get the opportunity to Count distinct.
I love teaching Excel. I Love the way you do it Leila, I follow all your videos. I hope one day, my channel will just have as much as half number of subscribers as yours. I LOVE YOU LEILA.
Great job Leila you are doing 💐💐💐, would you please give some examples to use excel in education, I have data to deal with but unable to apply power query... Waiting for your reply. Thanks

I need to create a formula for the following scenario. I have 2 columns for each month of the year (24 columns), one is "Actuals" and the other is "Forecast". Let's say I just closed the books for April, I need a formula in the 25th column that adds up the "Actual" values for January through April and the "Forecast" values for May through December which would give me a Total Year Forecast.
=SUM(ISODD(COLUMN(A:X))*A3:X3)+SUM(ISEVEN(COLUMN(A:X))*A3:X3) You can try this formula. Enter the formula with ctrl+shift+enter if you don't work with Office365. Values are in range A3:X3 and "Actuals" are in columns A, C, E and "Forecast" are in columns B, D, F and so on.
