- Rectangle for Mac is a free open-source window management and snapping app. I show how to set up custom keyboard shortcuts and utilize its main features for maximum productivity. Using Rectangle, you can snap windows to the top of the screen to maximize them in your display - just like in windows.

In the end, I decided to leave the "Displays have separate Spaces" option enabled in the Mission Control settings. It interfered with my displays when working in full screen. If anyone knows a way to just disable the mission control bar popping up when mousing towards the top of the screen, it would be greatly appreciated. I know many users are looking for this option...
Very neat! Due to WfH space constraints, I only use my 16" MBP screen now, so I no longer have a dual monitor setup (laptop plus external) for work anymore like I did in the office. This tool would've been great back then. Things would get too small in a "laptop screen only" situation.
Greate videos,,,, do you have any special video which gives exact keyboard shortcuts for Mac. Coming from windows (which has so many easy shortcuts) it will help
Is there a setting that enables a snapped window to open fullscreen within that window (not the whole screen) ?. Reason is so when I click fullscreen on youtube video, I want it to fill the whole snapped window not the whole screen, so I can watch a tutorial on one window and use another etc. Thanks for the tutorial, its very helpful.
do u have tutorial on how to install windows OS on Macbook air... thanks in advance

Awesome, glad you enjoyed!
if you're using stage manager, is there a way to make the window go all the way to the right? it always seem to spare a space for the stage manager
Thank you! The only thing: is there a way to keep the snapped windows "glued"? I'd like them to stick together and resize simultaneously. Like, if I position the pointer on the border between windows and want to resize, they don't resize together like in default Microsoft Windows or the Mac function, I have to do one by one. The same if I want to see a video "full screen". With default Mac, the full video only takes its half of the screen, but with Rectangle, if I want to play a video full screen, it goes over all other windows taking the whole screen, it doesn't stay in its assigned place. Is there any way to change this?
If like to add a clickable link to the dock to take me to the desktop, how can I do that?
Hey do these keyboard shortcuts not work when my apps are in full screen and not in Desktop window?
This is a great tool. However I was not able to drag and snap like you show, I was hoping it would do that for me, one feature I miss from Windows 11. Thanks!!
I was able to get it to work, just like you said. It took some effort with the mouse, but I eventually figured it out. While the app is nice, it still doesn't compare to Windows 11. But I understand that nothing is perfect. By the way, I subscribed to your channel - it has some great content! Thank you.
Thanks, I'm glad you were able to figure it out. Not quite Windows, no, but I enjoy the extra capability on Mac, hope you do too! Thanks for the sub and glad you like my channel!
