I almost agree with everything. A few things I always do, because I want faster!!!
    1. Remove the recently used from the dock, there is a setting for that. No manual cleanup.
    2. Remove the delay on dock show and double the speed. Can be done easyly in terminal.
    3. Enable 3 finger drag in Accessibility. Along with the two finger functions, you never need to click the trackpad and have very fluid and fast control, with minimal requirements to lift.
    4. Use 4 finger spread to show desktop instead of that new click option 😃
    5. Enable ctrl+two finger scroll to zoom
Thanks for the video btw. Very useful
    👍

My preferences are different from yours. I don't use Stage Manager. To show my Desktop I just swipe over to a new Desktop in Spaces. Auto switch from light to dark so I don't lose track of time (and I like it) and don't hide the Dock because I like to be able to see it before it pops back up.
I'm using the Ventura California poppy because I like it, especially the matching screen saver. I turned off the Control-Space for Spotlight because I found I tended to hit it accidentally. Spotlight is useless to me because It always brings up way too many irrelevant matches. Turning off a few won't help the problem.
I set Option-Shift to Launchpad because that search is ideal for looking for an application. I also set my windows to show the full path because I've found that more useful than not.

    • @AnsonAlexander
      @AnsonAlexander  9 месяцев назад +1

Yes , that is a bit different. I use spotlight and command tab instead of most of the features you mentioned. I also showed how to stop Spotlight from bringing up as many irrelevant results. I don’t use stage manager very often but did for the recording. Hope you learned something useful!

@@AnsonAlexander I also have the Clock speak the time on the hour and half-hour so I don't have to keep track myself.

Yes, I definitely have show full path turned on.
Before Mac OSX had that option, and yes, it was in the days of OSX, there were some utilities that people had written to turn on that ‘feature’. I think that it’s a necessity, not just a feature, but maybe I’m in the minority.
I never thought about how they could have turned it on until now. Would it be done with a command in Terminal, or what?

after looking through your posted vids, I dont see on on printers. I was wondering about the Brother printer and Apple's restrictions making the print dialog ... well very basic. The options for color and binding side are gone from Apple's print dialog. The printer manfgrs dont seem to care enough to make a decent print app. I wonder if there is some work around for that.

Haha glad you like them but, honestly, they’re just from a collection of wallpapers I’ve downloaded from different sources over the years so I don’t remember exactly where I got those ones.

I have been having an issue with trying to do a fresh install on an old Mac Book Pro(It has MAC OS X Lion) that a friend gave to me(it wouldn't boot up). She just wanted her photos pulled off of the drive. I don't own another MAC(PC only over here..lol). I want to use the MAC but was wondering if there was a way to make an OpenCore Legacy Patcher USB from a PC?

Make sure you go into the OpenCore Legacy Patcher application and run the post-install patches option. Then restart and it should run more smoothly.

Question of the century! HOW DO I TURN OFF WINDOW TIILNG? I drag a window out of the way, and it snaps open blue rectangle, then fills that rectangle with the damnable window I'm just trying to move. WORST FEATURE EVER.
