    I commented on another of Paul's video about how the 'around, and around' feeling saved me from a complete meltdown on the course. Now, literally, every time I swing a driver, I hear 'around, and around' in my mind. On that same note, you MUST also follow Paul's other advice on remaining loose. Around, and around will only work if your arms and wrists are relaxed. Otherwise, the ball will go sideways. Ask me how I know this.

    Paul, I've gotten into golf about a month and some change ago & struggled. I felt a desire to be great. So I'm watching youtubers, mixing and matching tips.. then I found you. I applied tip after tip, consistently watching your videos over and over, Most of my longest drives and purest shots were because of you man. I haven't met you a day in my life but I couldn't tell you how many times I drank a cup of coffee with you & talked to you ! You've been teaching since 91 & I was born in 92. You're nothing short of a legend in my book sir. I feel confident I will get on track because of you. Every video feels sincere as if you're talking to JUST ME. I know how Rocky felt about Mick now ❤ Thank you for all your tips & having so much love for the game. ✊🏽 Loose wrists, powerless arms, & a full body swing ⛳️ 🏌🏾‍♂️

      Glad you found me and are doing well. Simple is the key. I have always thought this way so stay focused on that. I know what else it out there but make this complicated and you can lose it in a hurry. While you are just getting into it master these 2 drills. Do them both for 30 days every day. These are 2 critical moves you need to do in your swing. If so, you will hit it longer than you ever imagined:
      ruclips.net/video/SfIM2GWj9Cs/видео.html
      ruclips.net/video/hJeAcEYbvhM/видео.html
      There is more to the swing but getting these right away when you first start will put you miles ahead of anyone else. Check out this one. At this point this girl was a 7 handicap in 1.5 years just by reading my book and watching my videos. Here she came to Vegas for her first lessons. Now 2.5 years later she has broken par numerous times. ruclips.net/video/I8WRHJkTzyY/видео.html
      You will see the 2 moves above in her swing. She did them on her own but she learned as a kid. Stay focused and lets make you great. Try to keep taking some videos. Maybe we put you in a tip? Justin went from this to this in this time all by watching my tips. Be a pretty cool video.

    2:27 - The frame just before contact is amazing. What an awesome position. That late release by the trail arm and wrist is spectacular. Your trail arm is nearly 90 degrees at the elbow with only one frame to go before impact. Now that's a golf swing. You still got it Paul!

    Hello Im 71 I love golf and I started again 7 months after 6-7 years break. The distance I make is pathetic, just yesterday I was hitting balls front of the computer in a store and my drive is ridiculous 15O yards almost like I make with my 5 wood. Five woods at the best is 15O yards, thanks god I found your videos on your tube. I have my wrists very loose im starting now your drills and watching your videos. I will keep you posted about the progress. Thanks for thinking if the older senior golfer!

    • @paulwilsongolf
      @paulwilsongolf  Год назад

      I have fixed countless people who took a break from golf get their swing back. It's easy because they have used their body in the past. Take the break and you start hitting with the arms (which will never work). I just need to get them to loosen the wrists and use their body again to power the swing.
      Watch this first to understand why taking a break lost your swing:
      ruclips.net/video/fuOJxv_22Hk/видео.html
      Work on this first:
      ruclips.net/video/M868QsTlGt4/видео.html
      ruclips.net/video/p4vASmOzkPg/видео.html
      ruclips.net/video/N-nGM6yN790/видео.html
      ruclips.net/video/yHEv7G9Z5-0/видео.html
      Get the ball hooking and loose the wrists. Once you can do that you then start firing the lower body harder/quicker/faster to straighten it out. Not sure what your downswing trigger is but something in your legs and hips you use to hit the ball.
      This is the easiest trigger:
      ruclips.net/video/RdphthCQ9VM/видео.html
      As you do this there is timing between the release and the legs and hips so you need to watch this to learn exactly how hard you need to fire your hips:
      ruclips.net/video/bLskGy7rulo/видео.html
      This is literally days or a week or two of work maximum to get it back.

    • @paulwilsongolf
      @paulwilsongolf  Год назад +1

      Glad you liked it. Yes just do this stuff slowly until you are good at it then smoothen it out. No sense going so fast you are out of balance. Also, what I have people do sometimes is do 3 really easy backswings. Then on the 4th I have them pull it back as fast as they can. When they do they instantly feel how tight the arms are if you pull it back fast. So stick to a pace your arms don't tighten as you go back.

  • @braga786
    @braga786 Год назад

    Good advise here..
    I normally adress with my arm relax and extend.. I'm a normal one plane swing. The way I take my club on backswing, it comes back on the same plane all the way to the impact till follow through.... This way it impossible for me to come over the top or any other way round...... But yes the truth is should be relax and swing loose and let your lower body (pelvis /hip ) rotate quicker for more speed

    • @paulwilsongolf
      @paulwilsongolf  Год назад +2

      Very good. I don't mind the one plane swing at all. Just a few issues I wouldn't have people do but the concept is great. I grew up 10 mins. from Moe and met him many times. Loose and rotating quicker are good thoughts.

    • @braga786
      @braga786 Год назад

      That great glad you got to know him...... Yes I agree... Single plane It does work for me but not for everyone.. Yes we should stay with what work best for us as we all not the same.. Still people need to learn to swing loser.. I see many try too hard absa to Stiff as they think they going to fir it far but they wrong... It only shows they ball... Easy lose swing goes much further

    • @paulwilsongolf
      @paulwilsongolf  Год назад +2

      Well, I think the wide stance is the problem. This really hampers the hip rotation and speed. Moe was straight not long. I would say he was about 250. In his mind he was 300. So narrow the stance get people to get some speed and they will be more likely to do stick with it. His swing does have the 3 elements I teach so I have no problem with people doing it and my stuff together.

    Been watching Paul awhile, he’s answered some questions and I’ve got the most 300+ drives in same round ever. Still have my 240-250, not sure what I do there but overall Paul has me liking that Driver!!

      Glad you are on board and seeing results. I was hitting balls yesterday and trying to loosen up my arms. I came up with this thought before each shot. I got ready to hit the shot (all clubs). I elevated the club just above the ball. I swing it back and forth but as I did I said to myself "baseball bat." Anytime anyone swings a bat their arms will be like butter without me saying one word to them. I have people to this all of the time and in 33 years now not one has take the imaginary back back with tight arms. So with this thought and feeling I swung it back and forth a few times then applied this same feeling to the shot. Yes, even I tighten up sometimes. This was just a great image and feeling. I have touched on it in these tips but adding the baseball bat image really helped:

    Paul, can you give us some course management strategies? Should us short hitters be using iron off the tee or driver off every short par 4? What about attacking the green with longer clubs? Should short hitters always be laying up on long par 4s?

    • @paulwilsongolf
      @paulwilsongolf  Год назад +1

      Driver every time you can unless it's a tight hole. Laying up on par 4's would depend on how good/bad your fairway woods, hybrids or long irons are. I would be trying to go for the green all the time and only laying up in certain instances. Why are you not working on getting more distance? Seems like you need to do so or move up a tee. If you as far forward as you can go then you need to work on distance. Follow these 2 drills daily for the next 30 days:

It's a challenge to try to keep my head back during a round but it's a work in progress. But turning the hips is definitely helping. I just have to loosen my wrists more and keep that head behind the ball.

    • @paulwilsongolf

      Hitting sends you over the top so stop hitting. Tee it up. 7 iron. Go slow to the top then tilt and hit. Getting the tilt is vital so focus on the tilt. Once you get the tilt every ball will be pushing right. At this point you tilt then turn. The turn will stop you tilting too much and hit it down the line. Follow these too:
