I love the show because it gives a glimpse into the PTSD struggle. Tommy even says "I can't tell you how I feel because they haven't invented a fucking word for it yet" that hit hard because at the time those who came back "shell shocked" were thought to be genetically inferior. 100 years later and we are finally starting to document and find treatment for PTSD in our returning troops.
Disclaimer: I sympathize for everyone with PTSD. But Veteran PTSD is very personal to me and spreading awareness for PTSD in general is important.

Peaky Blinders is one of the best shows on television at the moment, it's consistently got better from season to season, from the Black Hand to Oswald Mosley and his black shirt Fascist political party, the historical references are pretty much spot on. In series 1 it was built at *Studio 81* in *Leeds.* And from series 2 onwards it's been in another unnamed studio which I suspect is the *Old Granada Studios* on *Quay Street* in *Manchester, Greater Manchester.*

Fact 3 is partly true, there is a documentary set on the real ones. Apparently they tilted the PEAK of their caps to one side, this then covered the vision of one eye hence the term BLINDER. The series used the razor on the caps to make it more intimidating. It is said that they didnt actually do this and that they used belts to hit their enemies. The term razor gang comes from the Birmingham Boys, another infamous and very real gang that did indeed (In its early stages) use razors. Just a fun fact

another fun fact could have been that arctic monkeys who are frequented on the soundtrack over the seasons also covered the song Red right hand yet their version was never used despite being the main theme of the program

*"Fact 23"* which starts at 7:20 and *"Fact 27"* which starts at 8:24 in the video are partly *False!*
You're correct that *Bradford, Manchester, Leeds* and *Liverpool* are used for filming.
However *London* which is mentioned at 7:27 and 8:30 has never been used as a filming location in *Peaky Blinders.*
Also those 48 sets which are mentioned at 8:37 were not built at a *BBC studio in Leeds.*
They were built at *Studio 81 in Leeds* which isn't owned by the *BBC.*
Other studios and facilities by companies like *Screen Yorkshire* in *Leeds* and *North Light Film Studios* in *Huddersfield* (which are also not owned by the BBC) were also used.
The *City of Bradford* (the 7th biggest city in the UK and the world's first UNESCO City of Film) and the historic county of *Yorkshire* on the whole (mainly West Yorkshire) is used more for filming *Peaky Blinders* than any other town, city or county in the country.
The cities and towns of *Birmingham, Dudley, Liverpool, Wirral, Southport, Manchester, Bolton, Stockport, Rochdale, Wigan, Macclesfield, Northwich, Ellesmere Port, Bakewell* etc and the counties of the *West Midlands, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Derbyshire* etc have nowhere near as many *Peaky Blinders* locations as *Bradford* or the other cities and towns of *West Yorkshire* do.
*Yorkshire* being the main filming location was in the terms of the deal, that the *BBC* made with *Screen Yorkshire.*
I suspect the only town or city which is on screen in *Peaky Blinders* more often than *Bradford, West Yorkshire* is *Dudley, West Midlands* as that's where the *Black Country Living Museum* is. However I'll find out for certain within the next month as I'll be going through each scene in each episode, and writing down the times the locations are on screen, and for what length.
    *Peaky Blinders Bradford Locations* include:
1 - *Tommy's Factory offices* are on *Hick Street, Little Germany Bradford.*
2 - *Tommy's Westminster office* is in the *Mayors office* (or the room opposite) in *Bradford City Hall.*
3 - *Winson Green Prison, Birmingham* is in *Bradford Police Museum* which is on the ground floor of *Bradford City Hall.* The courtyard (which is where the bins are normally kept) was used for the prison too.
4 - *Midland Hotel and Bar, Birmingham* is in the main entrance hall of *Bradford City Hall* (which can be seen in scenes involving Tommy, Lizzie, Polly, Luca etc), another room (which Tommy used to sleep with a prostitute), plus the entrance to the building itself (which can be seen in scenes involving Tommy, Ada and Gina).
5 - *Inkberrow Hotel, Statford-upon-Avon* (where the Mafia stay) is in *Bradford City Hall.*
6 - The *Hospital* (where Michael stays, and possibly Tommy and Aberama too) is in *Bradford City Hall.*
7 - The *Chinese Tailors and Brothel* is in *Dalton Mills, Keighley, Bradford.*
8 - The *Railway Station* is at *Keighley Railway Station, Keighley, Bradford.*
9 - The *Park* (where Inspector Campbell has a secret meeting with Grace about the guns) is at *Peel Park, Undercliffe, Bradford.*
10 - The *Cemetery* is at *Undercliffe Cemetery, Undercliffe, Bradford.*
11 - The *Canal* scenes (where Freddie and Ada had secret meetings, and got married) is the *Leeds and Liverpool Canal, Saltaire, Shipley, Bradford* next to *Salts Mill, Saltaire, Shipley, Bradford*
12 - A location I haven't been able to spot yet is somewhere in *The Bradford Club.*
13 - *Cheltenham Racecourse* (where Tommy takes Grace to meet Billy Kimber) is the *Winter Garden* room at *King's Hall and Winter Gardens, Ilkley, Bradford.*
14 - *Liverpool Docks* (where the mafia arrive) is in the *Midland Hotel, Bradford.*
I'm almost certain I'll be able to spot at least one other unannounced *Bradford* location when I get around to comparing locations in the show one by one, with interior photos of buildings in *Bradford* which I know are used a lot for filming.
