They also sell blackout curtains on Amazon that are solid black on one side and solid white on the other. They are cheaper and also have built-in metal rings which allow you to easily feed it onto a C-stand arm, T-bar, etc. I have them with us on every shoot.
That sounds like another useful option for lightning. I think I would still opt for the sound blanket for the sound treatment benefits though. This blanket also has grommets which can be used for hanging as well
Thank Tyler for bringing this MULTIPLE-feature sound blanket to my attention. I've never heard of a sound blanket that also works as a light reflector before.
Mannnn, that kitchen would've been a nightmare for me! So narrow! You did an amazing job. And loved the second one as well, with the natural light from behind! Apologies for the booze behind (not, lol) Handy blanket, indeed. Well, I guess I can use one of those caps now! 😉 Cheers
Thumbs up for safety! How did you put 2 bars on the top of the C stand? 2 grip heads or some kind of fancy double grip head :p Also, how did you measure the fluorescent light? Light meter and then set your light to match? could it be that simple?? I personally really enjoy these lighting breakdowns!
This was just one grip arm! For measuring light, I just did it by eye but wish I had a spectrometer handy for sure. It is that simple with using a spectrometer. Measure the light you can’t control, then set your lights to the same.

It’s such a great tool to have in your kit!
@@TylerEdwards Yes, it is.
Love this, multi purpose!
Nice! you're matching your komodo x to the ff6k very well!
Very creative solution to the lack of room. I'm going to have to keep this method in mind. Thanks for sharing!
Just discovered this hack recently too! Hope you have time one day to do a video about using the BMPCC 6k as a B cam to the KX.
Waiting for that one too!
I have that video in the works

Loving the videos bro. Is the KX autofocus actually reliable now?
Thanks! No, it isn’t. I almost never use it for client work
Was telling a gaffer friend about this on one of your other videos just the other day.
Sweet! 🤙
Triple bagged

🙌
I'd be lying if I said we haven't done this many times.
We must not tell lies
