I dont recall if youve mentioned it already but if you didnt know, some of the wall pieces added by Settlements objects expanded can be rug glitched. I literally just found that out in my game and figured Id share. Lovely build as always.
Just a possible suggestion, for a decoration video, you could always place down all your decorations in a specific area, and then when you do the video, grab them from there. That way you wouldn't be scrolling through the build categories the entire time.
Hey Davey, i would like to recommend 60 seconds! for your indie spotlight series. It's a lot of fun and definitely suits the channel (it's about a nuclear apocalypse)

You probably knew this by now, but if you enable god-mode, you can use OCDecorator without the objects in your inventory.

There is a mod called do it yourshelf which has a openable fridge

I built on top of their and made a display for my power armour.
The other terminals in the mod don't float. I think at the moment, there's one version of it that floats, but there's definitely another that doesn't.

Love your settlement builds :) one question. When selecting an object, how do you push them up and down or zoom them in and out? It would help me out a lot on my builds. Thanks :)
I think it is the upper bumpers(L1) after hold X after you've selected the item, just X will move it around without changing the height
Grim Wrath I've tried L1 and it won't work :(
To move an object horizontally, press and hold X and use the left thumbstick to move it around.
To move it vertically, press and hold X then press and hold L1 at the same time. Once they're both held in, use the left thumbstick to move the object vertically.
hey davey would you make a glass dome house that covers an entire backyard in sanctuary ? and have it that the idea is it's filtered air radiation free and have green grass and plants with decontamination arch on entry
can you build a memory den ? lol that would be cool just like a simple build with a memory lounge in it and with red carpet flooring ;D

When I was redoing a kitchen in sanctuary, it took me a while to figure out what the flat space was for in the full unit piece.
After 30 mins, I facepalmed and realised it was for a fridge. Looked all over and eventually found 1 pre-war and 3-4 post war fridges. I'm sure, they were in container. Hope that helps fella ;-)
They do have fridges in the 3rd mod(I think), I'm trying to remember how they're set up, but I am pretty sure that the items are not in the 1st or 2nd one and I never got the 4th or 5th add ons. It comes with like 5 different fridges varying in color and condition
I just looked and they are under containers, but they work like a normal storage container and don't open.
Also I have all available parts of USO, so couldn't tell you if it's from one particular part.
Markus Rawcliffus I can't recall seeing any ovens. I was looking for them as well as a sink for the pre-war kitchen piece but didn't find any.
Does PS4 have the " place anywhere" mod? Makes the rug glitch obsolete.

norespawns yeah, it's basically everyone's fave. Just hit Inquisition lightly. There are allot of faults for those that have played the game before.

Davy Please If you read this I have an Idea For you to try (What i did on my save) on the top of the building where you put the build try using the platform with the fishing boat cabins we got with the objects settlement expansion mod and if you decorate it with a sailor them it works really well and the color just fits
What mod lets me use all them warehouse floors and stairs etc?

For not having the items in your inventory for OCDecorator, remember you can just use FreeMaker to make any junk items. Might feel like you're cheating, but it beats searching all over Boston for toy cars and wonderglue!
not good at decorating homes, I built a house from a horror game hat a RUclipsr played but never furnished it. only ever furnished one place.
Davey I have a mod recommendation for you; sanctuary hot springs. It adds a standalone settlement not too far from sanctuary and I have loved it so far
I'm pretty sure that with the settlement objects mod that in the power misc tab there are terminals that do go on tables/desks etc however I could be wrong
Really love every single build you make. In my opinion, they just keep getting better and better. Can't wait for the next one!
Davey, have you seen the mod called "Freemaker" by AndrewCX? It allows you to create junk items & a whole bunch of other stuff useful for decorating without any resources. Its awesome for building. Also, gives you large quantities of items in chest that you spawn. no more running to Diamond city every 10 mins for wood!

Ah yes, Dragon Age: Inquisition. Always felt like that year was all kinds of bad for gaming, capped by the one game to actually be good was made after the studio's biggest failing. AKA "You mean the guys that made Mass Effect 3's ending and Dragon Age 2 made the ONE GAME that didn't fall flat on its face this year?"
Im not sure if you have heard about this new game, planet coaster, but I think it's really fun. It's a sandbox management game.
Junk decorating is so fun, just chuck that shit around. A collander, some cups and beer bottles, throw a couple gas canisters about, stick a life preserver on a mannequin. Don't forget to get some paint cans and a toy alien. Just not bunsen burners, fuck those things.
I don't know whether or not it's on PS4 but if it is, then I'd suggest getting the Cleaning the Commonwealth (don't know if that's the actual name but it's close) mod. It allows you to scrap the foliage in settlements.
Cigar box is always there...it was left there during the great Codsworth/Raider War of 2230. Codsworth is ruthless man.
is anybody else having problems with settlement mods on ps4? When I download mods that add/change settlements and try to go to them It says "can not go that away" or when I fast travel to them it takes me back to the place i'm already at. Anybody know how to fix this?
You really should go back to your huge sanctuary and finish the slums part and whatnot. The whole demo video inspired me to do it and (sadly) I've made a slums area along with a fisherman shanty town on the outside with a whole story behind it. The frame rate isn't terrible with a few optimization mods and I really want to see what you'd do with it
If u want to be able to use OCDecorator without having the actual item, then download Freemaker it let's u make any item from the game out of thin air. it just requires some self control
The best way describe the decorating theme ur describing "hoarder" These people keep everything they find because it all has value and scarcity.
I'm sure you alrdy know but if u need certain "junk/scrap" items to place from the ocdecorator just make them in the free craft mod then place them

@norespawns hey there's the free maker mod by andrewcx that allows you to create junk items at the chemical station to decorate with that's what I'm gonna use when I start the decor

This is really cool! I've always been shit at decor in this game but you make it work very well. One thing I have to say is that generator from vualt tec is fucking spot on. The whole place feels like it fits in fallout. Props to you davey

do you use the scrap everything mod on ps4? i have it installed and i think it's preventing me from clipping with rugs or concrete pillars anymore

I think it may depend on what you scrap; I started a modded playthrough the other day and scrapped everything I could in Sanctuary, including a bunch of the grass in front of the workshop house, but when I tried to pillar glitch a new roof onto it and couldn't because I couldn't even place the pillar anywhere near the house.
Oddly, disabling the mod didn't bring back much of the scrapped stuff (just the hedges around the back of Sanctuary) and still didn't allow me to pillar glitch the roof in. So, at least in Sanctuary, I'd recommend scrapping everything that's vanilla scrappable and then adding roofs, walls, floors, etc. to the houses before even turning that mod on.
Yeah, a lot of people have reported that the Scrap Plants, Leaves, Skeletons & More mod messes with the rug and pillar glitches. If you download it and scrap stuff, you can just disable it to use the glitch. When you re-enable it, all the stuff you deleted before will go away again so no worries about that.

This is awesome! I made this without mods and it looks pretty sweet. But not as cool looking decorations as you because of no mods. But still gave it my all. I love your idea of the office and the progression of the decorating. Thanks for the inspiration, keep up the epic work!

Hey Davey, I know you are somewhat opposed to using place anywhere on console, but I haven't seen a decent guide on how to use it. Would ya mind doing one? if at all possible. Also those junk walls are looking better than a lot of the Bethesda made areas!
His new junk wall styles are just fallout3 styled walls lol, which do look better than the ones you find in fo4 lol

hey davey, in regards to the junk decoration with OCDecorator and needing the item you want to place in your inventory, I recommend using the Freemaker mod, that way you can spawn whatever junk you want into your inventory with Freemaker and place it down with OCDecorator.
ps. Another great build, love your videos, they've always been amazing help and inspiration. Keep on doing what you're doing, you're a legend.
Get free maker. This is a settlement building save it's not like you actually care about Shaun or saving the Commonwealth. You can also just get the one where you can craft all the junk items
this isn't actually a settlement building save - I'm playing the story on this one (as I barely played it on my other character - so I've not played the game's quest in ages).
FreeMaker just tempts me too much with crafting other things. I enjoy looting places. I just wish we could remove the requirements, just for OCDecorator (as the items placed are purely aesthetic and cannot be used).

Dave Murray no place everywhere requires script extender to work so no. However the precise movement and rotation mod which is kinda the same thing might be possible

Dave Murray eh it's nice but honestly its the most high maintenance mod I run, every patch breaks it, every patch... and then you have to chase down the new version and hope the mod authors keep it updated.

Joey Hunt hold down x and use the left stick to move an item around, to move an item up and down hold x and lb together
On PS4, in the build menu, select the item you wish to place, hold X and move the item forward and backward, left and right, hold X and L1 to move the item up and down.
I'm so happy that you have so many more misc wood pieces to use. It reminds me of Evilviking's way of building. The way he adds holes in walls and roofs just to patch them up looks so good as a finished product.
Oh, and I'm totally going to steal this and build Valentine an office in my main settlement. (sunshine tidings Co op)
Oh, and I totally get the "I'm not sure I like it" when it comes to games. I'm still not sure whether I actually *like* skyrim but I've nonetheless sunk close to 800 hours and several playthroughs into it.
Once I've explored most everything in a game I tend to make my judgment on it, Skyrim that took around 50 hours and I do like it, just not as much as other games if the whole elder-scrolls series is taken into account since out of all of them Skyrim changes the lroe the most
Grim Wrath I've only played elder scrolls 4 and 5. I know that I loved Oblivion. That game was amazing. But Skyrim has this way of sucking me in. There's been occasions where I played for four hours straight and didn't realise it. And I almost never have "fun" when playing it. But some frickin way it still manages to catch my interest and hypnotise me into playing. It toys with this feeling that soon you'll get to the good part. It's juuust around the corner. But instead you're exploring your seventeenth nordic ruin and killing the umpteenth draugr to loot your hundred thousandth coin in five piece increments.
Sofia Andersson I played Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. Out of the three I prefer Oblivion just because it's a good combination of good graphics(for its time and size) and a good amount of freedom like in Morrowind. SKyrim was great if it was a standalone, but as part of the series it falls flat. It's story is empty, quest to quick, simple and forgettable. And most of it's dungeons are small or basically the same as the last ten. At least inspite of using a lot of the same assets Oblivions caves and locations had a point to existing half the time lol
