Coolest subwoofer build out there, by far. Wasn’t sure what it was at first but glad I stuck around for the whole video. Excellent details and explanation, a lot of similar subwoofer videos out there but this one stood out
Didnt realize how small your channel was. As I was watching, I thought for sure you would be a 50k+ channel. Wouldnt have even noticed had you not said something! Awesome build
I thought initially it was going to be plexiglass around the edge with the window. But then I realized it was the woofers inside. There was a thin gap between the inner and outer walls which housed the airspace. How much airspace is there in this box design? I like it a lot!
I don`t remember airspace in cubic feet or liters. Calculateted for a tube design but it should have been bigger than it is. The stuffing should help though. :) Thanks for the commet
It's gotta be the ugliest sub woofer I've ever seen... I thought it was a joke to start with 🤣😂🤣..!! The passive radiator should be mounted vertically not flat by the way .... the reason being that the mass load has gravity pulling it down and it presents added diaphragm stiffness when it moves up !! This causes non linear displacement!!
Well it's probably more like a ported box but the enclosure is around the outside in the square. To be fair, the bass head in me would make the same size box with 2 x 15 and 4 x 8 or something lol.
bro thats badd af... is it a passive bandpass?? how much air space is there for those drivers? dude im blown away at the quality of the video and the box build but bro your creativity is second to none!!! keep building and doing videos and I promise you sir you will get a couple RUclips silver and gold play buttons!!!
Cable around the center steel rod is not a great idea. As it's only 2 loops the effect power is very low but with each bass boom it's a degausser just on top of a magnet :-)
@@mustbuildsomething and also I would have put the common on the amp, not on one speaker (speaker --- amp --- speaker, not amp --- speaker --- speaker) because the first part of the cable borrows the power for 2 speakers. And the lenght of the cable from the amp is doubled for the second speaker so a greater loss of power and a little dissimetry between speakers. But all these are so small details that there is no audible differences, it's just my OCD 😀
@@frederichardy8844 I totally get that. :) I wired them so that on driver gets plus first and the other minus so the current should be timid and equally distributed 😂 i wired them in parallel, not in series ass i wrote 🙃😀
brother i am not going to lie this was one of the best build i seen because the way you show thing and the and scene was funny and same time i learn some thing thanks brother
DUDE pop filter on mic ..but i love your idea a active band pass with passive radiator ..not a fan of passive radiators normally
16:09 In series you get 8 Ohms, they are connected in parallel :-)
You are right sir 😅

Thank you for your awesome comment
Nailing the plate amp in the box not a good idea I will say he is skilled enough to do a clean job but there is a few whoopsie daisy's in there IMHO
This was fantastic. I had never considered building a box like that. Very unique, really creative.

Thank you that`s really nice of you to say 😀
pretty sure you wired them in parallel and not series, great build tho!
you are right, sorry 😉
Bruger du den stadig i dag? 2 år efter, eller har du erstattet den med noget andet? Og hvilken response har den såten ca.?

Build quality 👍
Looks cool but wouldnt it even be way better if u put those 3 chassis into a closed box?
awesome video dude, it was really enjoyable to watch . totally loved it. left thumbs up, hope you can drop the hammer with some bass now lol
Thanks means a lot that you liked it😀 I can now lift the mini hammer..... soon😅
Incredible. you are a true craftsman
Thanks 😃i still have some way to go though 😉
You could stop blowing in your mic or use a pop filter. Good thing wanting to build a subwoofer but try not destroying ours.
Btw got u a sub. Ur doing great.
BTW, u got 👍 and subscription:*
Awesome build! Love that you built it so the drivers are visible, very cool. The TB's are wired in parallel of course 🙂. Thanks
Thanks you for watching and the comment 😃

@@mustbuildsomething I appreciate the reply and love the design. Not something I've seen before..

Pretty cool. Check out Steve Meade's tower build videos to see this done to the extreme.
LOVE IT
Wow I was wondering why you needed the faces to be so rigid! This turned out amazing! Wish I could hear it
Subbed at going a little bananas 😂
Thanks I try to go bananas always.. Thanks for the sub😁
I was so confused at first then I was like ohhh sweet a bandpass with a passive radiator. Enginious! Got a sub here for sure!
Thanks I did try to make it a little different😂

nvm I seen in other comments that you dont remember the air space! all good great job again im so impressed!
Thanks for the comment. the air space was calculated like a ported design though on the smaller side 😀
I got to be the thousandth like 👍🏼

Great input didn`t think of that 😀 normally its like 800 years do you think im still good for like 20? 😀
@@mustbuildsomething yeah, probably more, that was really just for the fun 😀

What do you mean by reverse polarity? The woofers should push the radiator both same way!
The drivers back function as the front side of the cone so they are both in reverse 🙂
I like the idea of this project. It's opposite and we all see the drivers in motion inside (outside). 🤣🤣
Yes that was my exact idea, i like to watch mechanics 😀thanks for watching😉

Im am so happy you learned somthing, thanks appreciate it. 😃
@@mustbuildsomething thanks brother
Did u try to seal a side ??
awesome build 👏 first time to see a setup like this.👍👍👍
thanks 👍
This video look like asmr
Thanks 😊
that is a unique subwoofer. good work🔨
Thanks 😅
Perfect.......💯
Wow bro Great peace of engineering!!!
WOW WOW WOW WOW 😱😂
😀
16:07 rly nice build:) series 4+4=8 :p
you are so right they are wired in parallel ;)😅
I like it,so unique 👍
Like like 👍🦎
Thanks
Este canal merece muchos mas suscriptores ... Ahi va la mia y la de mi esposa aunque no quiera. Por el marro de Thooooor!!!
Thank you, I got 99 problems but the wife`S not one😉
I watched the whole video and in the end all I was left with was a big WHY?
It was an idea. So i tried it out 😉
fair enough@@mustbuildsomething
Excellent workmanship , congratulations Palle 👍
Thanks Poul
Winisd! is useful,no need to play with the weights
ù
Informative. keep it up
Thanks for watching and i will :)
amazing video
Thanks
This an awesome build and design.
Thanks :)
Крутоо 👍👍🇺🇦🇺🇦✊
Nice build!
Thanks 😀
Where can you find that Amp at?
i think it is discontinued. but Parts Express sell a lot of different plate amps. If you are in EU I think Sound Imports is great :)
Interestingly useless build, a very low output subwoofer, especially giving its size!
OB dual opposed with PR waste of time and resources.
Nice
