    Lauren, I loved this video and was literally smiling from beginning to end. Thank you for capturing what an awesome adventure the Juan de Fuca trail is!! We've done many trips on the trail and it was a great place to get our girls into backpacking (camping on beaches = endless entertainment!) As I was watching I was thinking what a perfect trip it would make to try out solo backpacking.

    I've really enjoyed this! I watched last night in bed on my ipad mini and knew I should be watching this on my desk top lol. I live in south Florida so had been looking for hikes that are different. A couple years ago now I found a list I bookmarked on Outdoor Vancouver, "14 Incredible Overnight Hikes around Vancouver" and this was on it. Just over a year ago I hiked the Long Trail in Vermont specifically for the leaf change since every time I go up north It's either the middle of the summer or middle of winter.

    Looks like a great time, I know what you mean about coastal hiking. I applied for a job maintaining that trail once but they picked someone else unfortunately. Have you done the SCT yet? It's absolutely spectacular, a must do hike. In my opinion it's the longest trail of its quality anywhere in Canada. That, and its counterpart the Suncoaster mtb route.

    • @LaurenRoerick
      @LaurenRoerick  Год назад +1

      Yes! This trail is so lovely, too bad about the job :/ I did the SCT in May and absolutely loved it.

      @@LaurenRoerick what was your favorite part? Mine was probably Feather Cove with the view of Desolation Sound. I got a crazy panoramic sunset on Tin Hat too. It's hard to choose. I gotta go back and do it again one day, it would be fun to run it with minimal gear.
