Do a full eeveelution team with each one only being able to use its respective type-mouth move (i.e. crunch on umbreon, fire fang on flareon, thunder fang on jolteon, ice fang on glaceon, etc)
That’s an interesting concept. It would have to be in a game where I could either catch/breed Eevees during the main phase of the game. So maybe HeartGold and or White2. This would involve a lot of switching in battle, so that will be something to consider…
On the theme of using only bite moves with the Eeveelutions, then sure. I’m coming from the perspective of not further handicapping the run as is. Given the other Eeveelutions would become more useful to use over Espeon with a physical move, Espeon would just be never used. It would be Umbreon and Flareon used for the majority of the run.

(Umbreon being 1st and Espeon being 2nd) and you did the Red fight which a fair number of challenges don't bother with. Though Yin becoming an Unbreon confused me...I always understood Yin to be the "Light' side...was that intended as a joke?

Creative naming. I have yin and yang vanity plate on my silver Honda Crosstour and a keychain of it. I had a Ninetales and Arcanine during a fire type only run; both males. Named them Lynyrd and Skynyrd after the band. For the Red fight I would have used Toxic on Snorlax

Espeon and umbreon Are my 3 Favorite characters I was using type to speech and I hate when you use a Pokémon name and the type character just changes the whole word
Gen1 would only be able to feature Flareon, Vaporeon and Jolteon. This could also be gone in Gen3 with FireRed/LeafGreen, sort of. It’s one I’m planning for the future. I haven’t looked into a Gen6 run of this, but I know they introduced Sylveon that generation.
Thanks! It’ll just be a matter of figuring out how to get all three eeveelutions in that game; I can get one at the beginning with the universal randomizer and then the free one mid-game
The plan was always to start with evolving Eevee into an Umbreon first. Umbreon was able to handle the Bug Gym way better than Espeon. Bite was critical to this challenge with Eevee learning it at level 29 verse Espeon learning Psybeam at level 36. Espeon with Bite isn’t useful. Umbreon benefits better with Bite not only in typing but with it being Physical damage where Umbreon thrives in. So regardless of the nature, the first Eevee was always going to evolve into an Umbreon.
@@SolarPrimal your only allowed to use only 6 Pokémon on your team what’s so ever your not allowed to change 6 of them allowed in combat you can us other Pokémon as hm users no items outside of combat but hold items is ok

And lastly, if the creator himself doesn't mind what you're doing, then I see no problem with it either. This particular challenge is different from anything else on his channel, and honestly, I think it was a really good idea. However, apparently I am not the first person to say anything like this to you, so what does that tell you?
I appreciate that you watched the whole video, so thank you for that. As you correctly guessed, I’ve gotten tons of comments on a separate video on the similarities my videos have to MDB, and for a time I went into discussions on how he was a huge inspiration and I followed his how-to’s to help refine my process. But of course I’ve certainly tried to slowly grow into my own as I go through these videos. I don’t mean to come across as defensive in my response. It’s just after so many repeat comments, I turned to MDB for advice and he responded in turn, so I’ve since then refer those comments to his tweet. Many times commenters don’t actually watch the video and just accuse me of being a “Mah-Dry-Bread rip-off”.
Obviously you are not in any way obligated to take my advice, but I think if you put a little disclaimer at the begining of your videos, it would help. Like if you just said something like, "MDB has given me lots of inspiration and has taught me many things, so don't be alarmed if you see his influence in this video." You'd still probably get some shit for it, but I know that I personally would not have made that comment if I'd known that everything was fine.

Surely I did do Kanto, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to battle Pokémon Trainer Red. Never SHOWED battling the Kanto Gyms since they were all sweeps and never posed any problems for the team.

Hmmmm… see the problem is that Espeon is a Special Attack Pokémon, so psychic fangs wouldn’t be that great for it.

Yeah... for pvp umbreon is pretty solid, but without toxic or curse and lances 15 Full restores it really gets a Hard time xD
Lance is always a tough battle unless you got a super effective move like Rock, Dragon or Ice. Having a stat move helps too like you mentioned.

It depends on the stats you are working on. Caterpie = 1HP, Weedle = 1Speed just as a couple examples

Maybe? I don’t play around with the universal randomizer too much. Mostly use it to swap starter Pokémon per challenge requirements
