- ఆర్థిక సంస్కరణలకు నేటితో 30 ఏళ్ళు, సాధించింది ఎంత? || Economic reforms: 30 years after ||
This year marks 30 years of the pivotal economic reforms of 1991 when Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao piloted the Indian economy towards a radically new path. Rao became Prime Minister at a precarious time in the history of independent India. Punjab and Assam were seeing unrests, full-blown militancy had started in Kashmir, the Cold War had ended with India on the wrong side of the victors, and political instability had gripped India even as decades of disastrous economic policy reached the crisis point with the country staring at a Balance of Payment crisis.
Rao’s greatest achievement was to implement the economic reforms despite massive resistance from within the Congress, entrenched business houses and labour unions. The need for reforms was widely recognised but no government then was able to muster the political will to do the inevitable. But the crisis of 1991 forced the hands of the government.
The reforms centred on fiscal deficit, industrial policy, financial sector reforms, monetary reforms, and liberalising trade policy. Reforms aimed at curtailing the fiscal deficit to sustainable levels by rationalising subsidies and taxation reforms. Industrial policy was reformed to end the infamous license-permit raj, which resulted in corruption, production inefficiency and monopoly by a few business houses.
Financial sector reforms aimed at ending financial repression and giving more freedom to public sector banks, than allowing the entry of private and foreign banks to induce much-needed competition in the sector. At the same time, the monetary policy was reformed to grant autonomy to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to end the automatic monetisation of fiscal deficit and consequent inflation and bring predictability and trust in the conduct of the monetary policy. The trade policy was liberalised by lowering tariffs and relaxing controls on export and import.

ఆర్థిక సంస్కరణల వల్ల కొద్దిమంది మాత్రమే లబ్ధి పొందారు.ఆర్థిక అంతరాలు పెరిగినవి.
unfortunately, you will see as IT industry got oppur with 1991 reforms, its indirectly created many other oppur in other sectors too....like auto, real estate, hotels, groceries, tourism, infrsastructure etc., Without 1991 reforms, we would have been more worst than now.....start contributing from your end too.
Mahanubhavulu manmohan Singh garu aayana malli p.m ayite Mana talaratha marutundi
Balanced point of view 🙏🇮🇳
This clearly shows failure of BJP govt
And make the extended video on this content , will help to many people regarding to their studies
First view. 🙏Thank you Professor garu mana TG TV PV gari contribution gurtu chesinanduku. PV gari reforms , IT kuda upayoga padindi.Ee andhrollu okate CBN dabbalu kodutunnaru Inka. Buddi raledu.
Since PV was PM then why IT never boomed in other states except united Andhra and Karnataka ??
@@suryamssci8999 IT boomed after PV finished his term for your kind information.. It opened up foreign investments(not just IT, but also mobile , oil) . PV gave an interview with Shekhar Gupta. He clearly said country is seeing fruits of his and MMS efforts in economic reforms and he never did SELF DABBA like chamba
@@uniqguy111 why it boomed only in Karnataka and Andhra ? Why not in WB , UP , Gujarat etc . Economic reforms supposed to be happen in 1989 and because of RG ( withdrew the support for minority government ) . But credit goes to PV garu as it happened during his term .
@@suryamssci8999 Why Hyd ? becoz,There was a CMC (Computer Maintenance Corporation)center which was already providing computer solutions to govt orgs before hitec city. CMC's R&D facility was set up in 1982 at Hyderabad. There were maintaining IBM installations.. If you want to give credit to RG and not PV, then like wise you should give credit to Neduramalli Janardhan Reddy who laid foundation stone to hitec city in early 1990s and not CBN. Yes CBN was late to catch up with Bangalore as foundation stone was laid way before. I am not saying CBN dint contribute anything but this attitude of CBN brought everything and that too attributing CBN to a region/caste and insulting local Telangana Region's leaders capability is the ultimate reason for his miserable downfall now. Cheers
Ardam cheskoni vadiki cheppina ardam kadhu CBN value eanto
This is all because of Congress.. Jai Revanth Reddy.. Tiger of India.. Next PM

Sir, can you please make a detailed analysis video on 1991's Economic reforms. The complete merits and demerits of the same. Pls make it sir🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
That is manmohansing
MMS was not first choice as FM. It supposed to be implemented during 1989 but Rajiv Gandhi withdrawn the support and it lead to elections . Liberalization was also from the IMF demand . Unfortunately it was portrayed as MMS idea
Sir we are interested for your analysis
Present situation is worst then in 1991

1991 సంస్కరణల తరువాతే బడుగుల బ్రతుకులు మారాయి.
You should say that our country is not moved from state capitalism to socialism, but is moving towards free market economy or capitalism through the process of economic reforms. After reaching Capitalism, citizen's Living or economy becomes free from state regulations and the problems in our country will be solved naturally. You should also say the statism in the name of socialism is utterly failed and it's better to close socialist, communist party offices in our country.
ఓరి నాయన, ఆర్ధిక సంస్కరణలు లేని చాలా దేశాలు బాగుపడ్డాయి.

Living standards of remote people has no impact after reforms.
