I just found this amazing channel today. Thank you for this great content. I was stationed in Vilseck from 1988-1991, and seeing this brings back great memories for me. Thank you Brotha!
I’m dual military, been here two weeks and live in Pressath. Love your videos. Watched almost all of them lol I was wondering if you could possibly do a video on how to use the trains & busses near the bases when you don’t have a car. I realize a lot is self explanatory but head start apparently isn’t a thing like back in my dads day. He told me that they would take you on “field trips” to make you more comfortable with public transportation. Your videos are very helpful and made me feel a bit less anxious when we first got here.
Ask and you shall receive! Thanks so much for watching! PS: short field trips is a grand idea (taking mental notes) 😊 ruclips.net/video/C5Ji7O77pEQ/видео.html
Hi, you're referring to NTS (Non Temporary Storage). I haven't done a video on it (yet), but it basically allows you to store your household goods for the term of your OCONUS move. You can learn more about it here: www.militarybyowner.com/resources/what-military-families-need-to-know-about-long-term-storage/#what%20is%20non%20temporary%20storage
I don't really know the "official reason," however it may have to do with weight allowance for military moves, and/or voltage & energy consumption issues overseas.
Hey! Unfortunately I don’t (yet) 🫣 But if you’re coming to Vilseck, you might want to look at my cheat sheet for local resources! We’ll be updating it weekly with new helpful info ⬇️ www.dtvdanieltelevision.com/2023/05/21/vilseck-germany-cheat-sheet/
Unfortunately not. You can buy portable units to put in the house, but Germany uses an early morning “open window, close window” method to trap in cold air during the hotter months 😬

Is there a reason you can't bring washer and Dryer to Germany?

Would this type of housing be available for DODEA?
DODEA civilian employees will live off base
