    As far as I heard, the reason that peppermint oil stimulates hair growth is the same reason as why scalp massages stimulate hair growth: It increases blood flow in the scalp. Apparently peppermint oil will burn a lot when applied purely hence you need to mix it with a carrier oil.

I was devastated, but I went to a dermatologist and they did injections into my scalp (the most painful experience omg 😭). For the most part my hair grew back but the areas that were bald the hair grew back thin stands and my hair still isn't think as it was before and you can see my scalp 😏. I just came across your video and I'm so inspired by it that I ordered emu oil which I'm getting in a couple days. I'm so looking forward to thickening my strands 🙂. So in that Korean study that showed peppermint oil mixed with jojoba oil to be more effective than minoxidil, it was being applied 6 days a week. My question is, if you did that, would you be washing your hair everyday to get it out, or would you just leave it in and wash your hair only once a week? Let me know if anyone has any insight, thanks!

    • @edem6783
      @edem6783 Год назад +2

      You most likely want to wash your hair everyday after leaving the oils in for a few hours or overnight since it can clog the pores and attract dust if its in for too long. And peppermint oil (I think) is very strong for the scalp so I don’t think it would have been great to not wash it off the hair. And as far as I know Koreans wash their hair everyday, especially in the mornings, so the study you are talking about most likely tells you to apply the oils for overnight and wash in the morning.

      It won’t do any harm if you do it every night , but wash it only 2/3 times a week so your hair will be super oily for a while .... I’d do it only the amount of times you wash your hair

      Yeah but they are eaten as well. They're not just harvesting oil from these birds, the meat gets sold as well.

    so I have peppermint oil buts it’s an essential oil for like a defuser is that ok .. girl because the smell is strong I tried it with Castro oil and I could r breath my head started to hurt like crazy ., my blood pressure went up and everything .. so is there another brand you can recommend

      I would suggest diluting the oil. Rosemary oil did the same when I used it. It gave me the WORST headaches when I used it by its self. So, I mixed it with my conditioner. You might need to do the same. Possibly mixing it with another essential oil or maybe cutting it with coconut oil.

      I mixed the diffuser essential oil with water and conditioner so it wasn’t too strong! :)

    You got to use this oil with a carrier. In other words for all you dummies u gotta use another oil with the oil. I use coconut oil and only a few drops of peppermint oil. Unless you are ones of those freak weirdos that likes the feel of your hair on fire go ahead and use straight peppermint oil with no carrier.

    a lot of places I've read say after you put the oil on you have to wash it out. can you just leave it on and not wash it out? is that what you did?

    • @universetrip6766
      @universetrip6766  4 года назад +2

      I never washed it out the same day after I put it on my scalp. I only washed my hair once per week. But it may be different for straighter hair, maybe it would be better for you to wash more often.

      If you have oily skin and cannot use carrier oils (for this reason), you can use aloe vera juice instead of carrier oils.
