Legendary is the word, indeed. 23 years going, started by a group a teenagers with just a camcorder and basic video editing skills. And now, look where they are: films, novels, comics, video game! Multiple time European crowdfuding record with an ever growing fan base, famous actors / dubbing actors as guests in some episodes of the webseries itself. 23 years on youtube, with a content format that is not supposed to work well on this platform, but they are still there, and kicking! :)
Ooooh! I'm so glad you're covering it! It originate from the (very welll known in France) web series Noob, that started 23 years ago, made by a group of friends in their late teen years, with a camcorder, very basic costumes and editing software. It was cheap, but it was very entertaining and caught the attention of many gamers. In 23 years, the web series gained a large public, had many successful crowdfunding, became crossmedia (comics, novels, and of course now video game), had multiple feature-length films, with even exceptional theatre releases in Paris. The quality of Noob is now way better than at its begining, as you can imagine, with better acting (with even _real_ actors and a famous French video game dubbing actor in guests in some episodes), better sfx, and so on. We have followed the adventure of a group of total (silly) noobs who finally made their own legend, and it's funny to cross path with them and many other characters (npcs and "players") in that game. It's very true to the spirit of the webseries and a magnificient gift for all their fans. I'm so glad that someone who absolutly don't know the webseries enjoyed the game despite some technical issues. I'm sad some of them were not fixed during the early access phase (backers had access to the game waaaay before its release) as they were present at that time. I hope they will be fixed soon, because that game release deservs to be known. :)
Really impressed with these reviews, Muk, thanks for doing 'em. They are pretty much filling a similar niche to Totalbiscuits old "Wtf is..." format for me, in that they introduce me to a lot of games that I never really heard of. Appreciate the work you and Noxxi are putting into them.
Aaah Noob, brings back memories of the time I was watching their (french) web series in highschool. I didn't even know they had a game now, very cool !
Wow, I never would have thought I would see Noob content from Mukluk. I started watching this little french web serie more than 10 years ago, and seeing their game reaching out like that is nice =) The game is indeed rough around the edges, basically it is the first 3D game this studio has ever made. It was meant to be a 2D game at first, but the crowdfunding went so well that they decided to do it in 3D. Personally as a big fan of the web serie but not so much of the rest of their work, and on top of it being allergic to turn-based fighting, I couldn't play this game for more than a few hours. Perhaps I had too much expectations, about exploring a "real" MMORPG world in a solo game setting, about feeling like I truly was in the game that is depicted in the web serie.
Hi, i'm part of the "rpg helpers" from the french community who support this game. We noticed a lot of complains as you did for freeze during combat. Few peoples explained they have it disapeared on computer by disabling v-sync in options. It may depend on your computer specification. I personnaly have more trouble with it disabled, but maybe it can help you to go further in the game without waiting for an hypotetical update. The internationnal realeased was not expected to be available from scratch project. We are glad the author reached this goal, but this may be the last update with bug resolution (any plenty of them were still there since the early access was on, with lot of them existing since alpha/beta stage - 99% actually solved). We don't really have hope atm to expect later update as there is no more budget to continue the dev (microïds helped a lot with and addition of 200k+ after all the crowdfunding fund was used).

This game universe is inspired from a legendary French Web Series and developped by the same people who acted/directed in the series 👌

Not once have I ever played an actual MMO.
So did it ever get patched?
Was a charming little game and I agree with your problems. Too bad you couldn't finish it.

Has it been patched since? Considering getting it for the switch.
Terrible art style, buggy, jank and generic seem to describe this game. Pass.
