@@CJMediaOfficial Sure! Yeah... I missed that brutal sound. Now that I have V4s, I need more time to get used to it haha. 2-cylinder ducati is great for sure!
Hello from Luxemburg,Europe.Wonderful DUCATI!!! i drive myself a GT 1000 from2006! DUCATI is an amazing Motorbike, nothing to do with Japanese Bikes! Specially Bicylinders! I would never go back for a Japanese Bike! Panigale is an Amazing sport Bike ! Good work! Thanks!
Great work Caleb, hey don't want to cause a panic, the oil filter. Was it put in the right way around i thought I saw a hole which generally plugs over the rod in that casing.
I'm sure the length of the front shocks survival has a lot to do in the way there treated. i.e. wheelies. Having them rebuilt is an option if that even happens.
Shocks??! 😫😫 You mean forks. Even with your limited bike knowledge, your doing a good job. It’s always a fun time working on a bike and seeing the progress.
Coming along nice. One you get it on road. You must fit termignoni or akrapovic with the UpMap!!! Completely wakes the bike up. Its night and day difference. Keep up the work👍
@@CJMediaOfficial UpMap give bike full power. Bike is suffocated with Cats in exhaust and the stock air filter.(for emission reasons depending on your country)Once this is removed you must do UpMap or better still remap on a dyno. Its well worth it. Bike turns into beast mode. If you just change exhaust and filter it will run too lean without upmap or remap, just so your aware.👍
@@CJMediaOfficial you can buy as kit. you get exhaust, sprint air filter and upmap on usb to load on ecu. Theres also a Bluetooth version to load upmap to ecu. Id wait 1st till you connect the dash just to doubble check previous owner hasnt had done and cans been swap back to stock. If it comes up RACING on dash when you 1st swith on. It has upmap on ecu. So you will only need exhaust and filter. Ive seen this been done before.
To be honest, I didn't even think of that to begin with. But due to me working on it in a dusty garage the bike was bound to get dirty real quick so it would have been just a waste of time to detail the whole bike and then have it get dirty again in a few days. Thanks!
Enjoy the rebuild, however I have a question that's been gnawing at me, granted I've only watched vid 1,2,3,4 and 7, and if my question was going to be answered it would have been in vid 1,2,3 or 4. My question is, was the bike stripped down to pretty much a bare frame and sent out to have the frame put in a jig and checked for straightness?? Given the extent of hard part damage, i.e forks, steering tube bent within the head tube, rim toast, bent valve cover bolt from impact and various other hard parts wasted, this frame deserved to be checked by a professional to see if it's within factory spec without question...
I would think all the looms would be the same no mater which model it was. If you put dash on, removed both spark plug caps, you could have turned bike over till dash showed oil pressure b4 starting, safer way to do it.
O that's a cool trick to know thanks Bryan! The loom is from a panigale 1199 S and the pins are slightly different for the dash connector and a few different colored wires. Not much of a difference like you said tho
@@CJMediaOfficial Now Ducat is owned by VW/Audi the production line would be more streamlined, no point making different looms for 1 bike with different spec., with the exception of electronic Ohlins suspension. They would all have ABS too.
Hey I'm doing the samething we have almost the exact same bike with the exact same damage. I also need a key about how much was it for sos diagnostic to make you 2
Really doesn't take too long but the parts are what makes it takes months. When if I had all the stuff before hand I could get it done in a couple weeks max
I just picked up a salvage 1199 without keys. Did you buy a blank key, and send it and your ECU to SOS Diagnostics to have them synced? That seems to be the solution. I called the dealer for a good laugh...they wanted $2,500 for whole new everything.
SOS diagnostics just needs your ignition with the module attached to it. That's it. They lazer cut new keys and program the keys to the module itself. There service is About a 1/4 of the price based on what your dealer estimated.
@@CJMediaOfficial transport charges is going to be 2750$ and it will take 26 days and I tried to restore it but the parts are impossible to get so I got the new H2 so if you think you can restore it I love to send you the bike as soon as possible and if you want I can give you in 5000$ at your door step but only if you want to restore not for parts because I love to see my bike running again so do let me know if you can accept the challenge
The amount of patience and love in this project is more than I could ever imagine to have in ANY project.

Coming along nice. One you get it on road. You must fit termignoni or akrapovic with the UpMap!!! Completely wakes the bike up. Its night and day difference. Keep up the work👍
Oo sounds exciting! What does the upmap do? And is it a full exhaust like from the headers or just half exhaust
@@CJMediaOfficial UpMap give bike full power. Its well worth it. Bike turns into beast mode. If you just change exhaust and filter it will run too lean without upmap or remap, just so your aware.👍
@@greggan100 o I see! Do you recommend a solid company that's makes a solid upmap and exhaust for this duc?
@@CJMediaOfficial you can buy as kit. you get exhaust, sprint air filter and upmap on usb to load on ecu. Theres also a Bluetooth version to load upmap to ecu. @@greggan100 o interesting, I'll have to investigate what's done previously on this bike. Does the tune load into the BBS on the bike? Or the ECU?
this is a fun build to follow - in the end, it's going to cost more than if you just bought a "good" 1199?
Thank you! I'm not entirely sure but I'll make sure to add a complete price reveal once all is said and done!
As long as it’s under 10k it’s a good deal.

How much was it to get the keys?? I lost my 1199s key and never flashed the dash so will be the same process as yours?
It was about 500 bucks
What is the paste you are using for the wiring repair?
I used liquid electrical tape, it acts as a sealer when the coating on the copper has been removed
I would think all the looms would be the same no mater which model it was.

Because the Bible is the word of God. This world is for but a moment, heaven is forever
