Glad to see you after 4000 miles enjoying this bike, I just ordered one. Your videos are very heartfelt and enjoyable glad to of stumbled across you. Greetings from Ireland, thanks for some upgrade tips :)
I am so glad you like the videos, I do really love the bike as it makes me feel like I am 16 again. I will soon post my 5000 mile review, Stay tuned : ) Thanks for watching.
For 4000 miles the bike appears to be in great shape. So the best upgrades were there suspension seat post and the higher ratio rear cassette. Thank you for your videos and input
Yes you can! Although I don't seek to ride in the rain, I have been caught in many downpours. I think the main thing is to dry out the bike afterwards. I keep mine in my shop, after a rain I will run the dehumidifier to dry things out real good. But I think if you ride every day, the next day you ride would dry things out good. Anyway, I have not had any problems. Hope that helps : ) Thanks for your kind words.
Thanks for posting! What kind of distance do you get under throttle only as well as Pedal assist. I am trying to decide on the Philodo H8 and the Wired Freedom. I will be mostly riding the bike on the hard packed beach sand of Costa Rica. Thanks again!
The longest I have went with one battery was 58 miles, I could of done 80 but got tired LOL. You can see that video here: ruclips.net/video/z6IKP4Bn7Jw/видео.html I was riding to see how far I could go. If I ride fast on pas 5 I can get about 40 miles. I Hope that helps. I love the bike, I hope to have 10k miles by the end of the year : ) thanks for watching.
Good afternoon papa blue another fantastic video and wow congrats on 4000 miles👍 I just want to make sure before ordering the suspension seat post is 27.2mm X 350mm? and the seat post tube adapter is 27.2 X 30.4 mm? Thank you again for your time and knowledge 👍👍
Thank you, the bike is so much fun. I think you got the sizes right, but I put the direct links below to be sure. My Suspension Seatpost: amzn.to/3Lj84se Sleeve so it fits Philodo: amzn.to/434mrHX (paid links) Hope that helps, it will make the ride a lot more pleasant. Good afternoon papa blue, I am still looking into accessories for the h8. I already know that I am going to get the suspension seat post with the sleeve to fit the h8. I am thinking that I may have to get a handle bar stem riser also. Do you happen to know the size we need and also do you have any recommendations on a stem handle bar risers? Thank you again 👍
I have a subscriber who did that, I just asked him how it was going with the risers he got. He posted a video for me to see how he done it, but I had not heard back how it was going. You can see the video here: ruclips.net/video/BmZ6BwV3pxQ/видео.html His comments are turned off, so I had to ask him through one of my comments. I will let you know what he says if he gets back to me : )
Hi do you use the front triple gears much if so does it help to have the extra gears? I Have a handle bar stem shock absorber sure helps like the seat post absorber Happy trails😁
I don't think I ever use them, I use only about 3 gears LOL. I will be doing some off road riding this fall when it cools, so maybe I will then. I have had my eye on the suspension stem, but they are crazy more expensive than the seat post, so I haven't bought one yet. But, I am tempted. It is nice to hear they help, so I am leaning hard that way. ; )
If you were to lift your bike up in the air and hit the throttle for example mines in PAS 5 it’s claims awd but only my back motor wheel engages opposed to both what’s wrong?? Please help thank you
The front motor only works with the throttle, walk and cruise function. If it does not engage with the throttle, most likely the front wire is not on correctly. The plug where you plug in will go in 3 ways, but only one is correct. If you look on each end of the plugs there will be an arrow, make sure they are lined up and plug it in so the arrows come together. Hope that helps : )
@@papablueshirt oh my goodness!!!!’ Thank you!!!! 🙏 so much I’ve put a tad over 100 miles already and never had my front motor on right I aligned the arrows and oh man !! It’s fast and hills are much easier !! Thank you soo much I live near Seattle wa and there are so many hills this made me happy !! Thank you
I thought that was probably it : ) I did the same on my Jumbo. I took it hill climbing and was rather disappointed. I investigated it more and found out I had done the same thing LOL. Once it was on correctly, WOW. Glad I could help, enjoy your new hill climbing machine : )
@@papablueshirt yes I love the jumbo. I’ve been watching your videos on it. I wish I could afford that one but I hope it’s my next bike by then they’ll probably have a jumbo 2.0 lol again thank you 🙏
I don’t pedal nearly as much as you so I have a different style seat, your right , seats are a personal preference. I’m gonna get some of that chain lube you use, like clean bike.
Ok great thank you also I wanted to tell you that I am going to put blue spoke skins on the bike. I believe I found the exact color of the h8 color blue, which I think is going to look awesome on the bike. Have a great day
That would be neat, do you have a link for them? or maybe a brand name, I would like to check them out. I thought about putting blue tires on my bike, but I am worried it will be overkill, Maybe I should do both LOL
Thanks. I think I got the right one. I added them to my Philodo gear list www.amazon.com/shop/papablueshirt/list/27MIZ9AIVLZCX?ref_=aipsflist_aipsfpapablueshirt
The bigger wider saddles are very comfortable the first couple miles but after that it starts to aggravate my pressure points. I too settled on a saddle with similar profile after many years of trial and error
Yeah, it seems counter intuitive, but I like the smaller seats too. The big ones always make me sweat. I think people think a new seat is the solution, when the answer is the suspension seat post. I love mine and will not ride without it now. Thanks for watching
It's such a good bike. The only issue I've had with this bike is something common to the batteries on these types of bikes. The connectors sometimes get iffy so you have to fiddle with them or else the bike stutters and begins to slow down going up inclines. The saddle that comes with it isn't the best either. I cannot seem to get comfortable with it.
I agree it is a good bike. I don't think I have had the incline issue, or maybe after all these miles I am just used to it LOL I had the same issues with the seat, went through several before I found the combination below. I now have probably 10k miles with this setup and it has worked great. I will not ride without it now. www.amazon.com/shop/papablueshirt/list/1EUHADDE50UXY?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_aipsfpapablueshirt_C69S0ZWJWKHVEXXRGQT5 [Affiliate Link]

My Zugo bike is in a Mausoleum in my dinning room. I don't know what to do. I always say someday... I'm onto other things now.. Wish... someday.. demoralizing to say least. Internet purchases are suspicious to me. I think that's what I learned.
@@papablueshirt I'm half Finnish, I'm punishing myself for getting bamboozled! Or i was treating it more like a dirt bike (weeds, wet grass jamming gear shifter). Well said papa. I am missing the fun. I don't kick it when I walk by it.
I seem to do pretty good with tires for some reason. My Ecotric has 10,600 miles and it still has the original front tire. I think the back has about 8k as I changed that when I put the new freewheel on since I had the tire off already. I will say I am using the tread faster on my Philodo, so I don't think I will get that much out of these. Thanks for watching
I think most of them are and the ones that are not are made with Chinese parts for the most part. That being said, I just passed 14k on my Chinese bike ; ) So it has been great.
Thank you, you are too kind. How did you know, I have been saying 39 for decades LOL. If I was really 39, that would mean I got married before I was born, that would also make my son older than me ; ) Before you know it, I will be my own grandpa. LOL Truthfully though, We are going on 50 years of marriage, so 39 was quite a few years ago.

Hi again i still have issues keeping the my h8 rear wheel from coming loose. Im afraid to ride it now.
It has to be the notched washers, as if they are in correctly I do not know how it would loosen. You said it started after you changed the tire?

you ever rode the Philodo H7. Think it would hold up like this one?
I have never ridden one, but it looks to be the same bike minus the front motor, So it should have the same life expectancy. Hope that helps
I do not use the front Gears. I had yesterday a broken spoken in my backwheel 1200km. I have a double battery. I am living on Crete.

Does the battery charge when paddle the bike
No, it has to be plugged in to charge : )
I want one of these so bad but they don't sell them where I live
Bummer, Are they illegal, or just not available?

Ok thanks i do tomorrow
Yes after i replaced the rear tire after that it never stay on.
I put it in the same way .
If not it would won't go in
So something changed when you changed the tire. Can you send me some pictures? Maybe I will see something out of place.
