To this day, I'm surprised and disappointed that we never got bigfigs of the armored war-trolls, either in lego LOTR or the Hobbit. It's a shame - modern lego would definitely do a brick-built design rather than use a special mould (which are worse in my opinion).
Dude just called random Mirkwood Elf Tauriel, 79012 only has one named figure, Thranduil, the other ones not even a girl elf, cant be Tauriel Also you forgot to include Lego Games 3920 The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and Lego The Hobbit Microscale Bag End
I’ve started collecting Lego despite having missed over 20 years worth of sets due to not being born in the right time. After the Jurassic park stuff I’m going for fantasy lines like the hobbit, thanks for the information!
My sister-in-law sold me the unexpected gathering set for 20 dollars, i then gave it to my girlfriend. Really a great set that appealed to such a wide audience.
I definitely think that some of these sets couldve been improved by a couple extra figure, The ones with wargs definitely deserved atleast one more warg each. And i absolutely how in every set we barely got.many orcs, they always came in twos and never reused their hair and ears mold piece in more than one set with one exception, and that would be the one that appears in both Lego The Lord of the Rings 9476 The Orc Forge and Lego The Hobbit 79002 Attack of the Wargs, I also wish they had more Goblins in other sets Including the ones in Lego The Hobbit 79010 to show how vastly outnumbered the Dwarves were
If i collected Lego, don´t nowdays I got mine from when I grew up. But I prioretize the build more than figures but I get it with these why the figures are a big selling point if you want to get all 13 dwarves, Gandalf and Bilbo. And then I know this are based on the movies but I would exclude collecting the sets that are movie exclusive and not from the book. BUT they are good sets with intresting figures and room for other types of imaginative settings. Nice video, some of these are really fun. I know they are set for older buyers but I can still see children below 10 play with these.
Good video over all, do you have the sets? My favourite stand alone set is Bag End but Smaug from Lonely Mountain is great. I like how you can combine the sets from Dol Guldur and Lake Town.
Yeah sorry dude I realised after the mistakes I had made 😅 I don’t. I got out of Lego around 2010 and got back into it in 2019 😭 we need a new cheap wave asap

I get your point. But lotr and hobbit sets are far more generous than str wars when it comes to figs lol

The fig in Mirkwood Elf Army has the same hair mold and weapons but yeah not Tauriel funnily
Ok, halfway through and there are only 2 goblin soldiers in the Goblin King set the third goblin is a scribe. Tauriel is not in the Mirkwood army set.
