This is so misinformed since grade 9 is A** and grade 8 is the old traditional A*. Universities are not going to differentiate between these grades for another 5 years.

Hello! Its said if one takes core in 10th they get the percent out of 75. But I want to know in the marksheet of the student who has taken core, the percentage will be given out of 100 or 75. For eg if I score 65/75, in marksheet it will be scored 65/75*100 = 86.6% or 65/100 i.e 65%
Yes and I assume that for each subject (bio, chem, maths, physics) the percentage wouldn't be more than 60 or 70 I mean even if you score 160/160 in the paper you'll get a C grade with a percentage not more than 70

Their making us do it in school. So many people in my school are in Cambridge, there was about one hundred students in one room taking the exam with me. I’m not over exaggerating

@@saeed7345 igcse grading depends on the average grades of all students actually meaning that if the exams of 2019 for example were very hard, all students will do bad in exams so the passing grade will be very low ,so yes their grading system is fair. As for the foundation year im pretty sure any country’s passing grade should be C but that still doesn’t mean u could be accepted cuz it may vary on how competitive the students enrolling are ,,which means there might be many students enrolling with high grades so ur chance to be accepted would be low
The general consensus is that a grade 8 is equivalent to the old A*. I think Cambridge IGCSE’s A* is set above what the A* used to be when normal GCSEs had the old system, and that’s why it’s equivalent to a 9 on their table but in general: A 7 is an A, an 8 is an A*, and a 9 is an A**. So an 8 is a fabulous performance.
Why did Cambridge put 2 curves for the same exam in Egypt. Cambridge put 2 codes for the same syllabus , the same exam and this resulted in 2 grade thresholds for the same subjects.... Severs injustice and unfairness # same syllabus, same exam... Then 2 curves # Cambridge scandal in Egypt
It's normal, everyone has to go through it. Even, I hate it. But I decided at least I want to finish A levels and then decide whether I want to continue or not, for now I have huge interest in biology and I will be taking it in A' level as well. If my interest does not subtly then I'll maybe go for higher studies on biology
