In today's video we will see in detail about another International Board - Cambridge International. Part of Cambridge University UK, this board is widely popular in India.
Cambridge International has Cambridge Primary, Cambridge Junior Secondary, Cambridge Secondary (IGCSE), AS & A levels. We shall see about all the levels along with the pro's and con's of this board in this video.

Sir, thanks for bringing these insights to parents. Very much appreciate your research and knowledge. Can you please clarify why IGCSE schools.dont have or give our any books to kids. Is this a general practice in all IGCSE schools. It is very unclear to parents what kids are learning without books. Can parents independently buy cambridge books from external source for reference. Your reponse will help me know things better. Thanks
The video was quite informative.Just wanted to let you know my son is in IB board with big picture method School. Do IB School and IGCSE schools have books or should develop course content for children to get basic knowledge on topics. Research through other methods can be an extended process for learning. Kindly make a video on this .. methodology of teaching in IB and IGCSE and are the teachers qualified enough to teach at IB or IGCSE board.Secondly accredited schools only parents must look for admissions. If you can make a video on accredition of Schools in India.

Well I really can't answer your question but I agree with you
Well, IG and IB are curriculums are International curriculums like cbse is interstate, if some one is constantly shifting between states it makes sense for there kids to study in CBSE. But if you are not going to leave the state then state syllabus is adequate. And as you can understand IG and IB are for the convince of people who travel between countries and leave there for a long time in each country.
It was never meant for middle classes I was meant for the privileged (and maybe brilliants.)

One clarification sir… you said IGCSE board starts at class 9 and 10 so in PYP and MYP Which board syllabus they will follow?? Cambridge Schools follow Cambridge International Syllabus for all classes. Its called as IGCSE in Grade 9 & 10
My daughter joined into Lower Secondary (8th). Same confusion. Schools are guarding like its a top secret. This board will surely give more work to parents.

Yes, same doubt here as well. My kid is in grade 2 in a blend environment, but no books or syllabus shared with parents. It's unclear what is being taught. They have project based learning. All evaluation happens based on this. Also the school is new and still not accredited with cambridge university.

The origin of CICSE is from Cambridge (IGCSE) and hence it can look similar. However ICSE is an Indian Board that will be even more customized to India

Hello! Its said if one takes core in 10th they get the percent out of 75. But I want to know in the marksheet of the student who has taken core, the percentage will be given out of 100 or 75. For eg if I score 65/75, in marksheet it will be scored 65/75*100 = 86.6% or 65/100 i.e 65%

My kids are currently studying in cbse board and due to cramming approach and frequent exam pressure without understanding the core of the subjects, my kids and we are not happy with the way cbse board is structured and it's approach.
Therefore, we are planning to shift my kids from cbse to Cambridge board.

Sir. Super video. Quick question. You mentioned Cambridge schools are 130 in number in another video (boards comparison video) but here you mentioned there are around 500 schools offering Cambridge. What’s the correct number?
Good Question. There are two types of Schools. One is a full fledged Cambridge School and other one is a type where they offer a mix of Cambridge & IB/CBSE. For example, a school will offer PYP & MYP (till grade 8) from IB and offer IGCSE @ Grade 9 & 10. That's why the actual numbers might mislead

Both are good in its own ways. More importantly choose the right school but then to answer your question specifically, Cambridge is governed by Cambridge University, UK whereas ICSE is an Indian board. There is nothing like superior or inferior

Technically Cambridge respects all languages and it does not have any problem in teaching regional languages in its schools. However the School that you are planning to enroll your child should have language faculty teaching that subject and hence request you to check with the concerned school

IGCSE is grade 9 & 10
IGCSE exam is conducted at the end of grade 10. So student need not worry about local exam conducted in grade 9. Some students write IGCSE exams of some subjects in grade 9 itself.

My son will be 6 years and two months this June. His date of birth is 4-4-17. He was 2 years and 2 months when he joined an IB school in Hyderabad. For grade 2 this year he Will 6 year 2 month old ( as per June school opening) in IGCSE school Sancta Maria.
