You know, I get section 8 and I am renting a house right now! Been here 20 years and my place looks pretty descent! The only thing that ever needed to be fixed was the furnace and having a new 40 year roof put on. I treat the place like I own it.
#1 WoW ... Glad to hear that you treat it as your own. You must be a good tenet if you’ve been there 20 yrs. My sister used the Section 8 program when she bought her 2nd home. It was a horrible experience for her. A single mom applied to live there with her 3 kids. It was a 4 bedroom 3 bath multi-level with full basement. In less than a year, this lady had a family living in the basement and a man moved in with her. My sisters beautiful house was destroyed. Cabinet doors pulled off, garage door rammed and falling off and much more. Long story short, she sold it. 🏠

That kitchen was really neat & vintage. That house is certainly worth fixing up. Pisses me off that it was obvious the dog was locked in that room & neglected.
Years ago, our next-door neighbor's landlord (a very posh middle-aged lady) came by our house and asked if I would go into her house with her because the tenant had owed several months rent and fled just ahead of the eviction notice--not sure why she wanted me along, but she did. When I went in there with her, the place looked a lot like this. The previous tenant and a friend that had been crashing there had trashed the place after they knew they were going to be evicted. He was literally taking his electric meter out of the power box every morning when he left and putting it back in in the evenings, stealing power, after the power company turned him off--eventually the power company literally cut the feeder line. They had kicked holes in the wall. Milk and juice had been spilled in the kitchen. The toilets were clogged intentionally and had several days of poop and pee and TP in them. Trash was everywhere. They'd ripped the thermostat and the circuit breaker box out of the wall and stolen them. The woman was distraught, she knew she was going to be out five digits getting the place rentable again. Fortunately, the same family has been living there for six years now and not giving her any trouble.
It probably was the way it look when they rented it. And he will throw the garbage out and rent it out again just the way it sitting there now. Mice and bugs and all.
6 month walk throughs and tighter application policies helps a ton. We never had that bad, but bad enough to where we weren't going through that again.

If I owned that house I'd turn that basement into an apartment of it's own and rent it out on it's own and then rent the house out as well to someone else. should be fairly easy to separate the electric and utilities so it has it's own electric and and heat. could also seprate the water as well. right before the meter they could put a T in and then have it be dual meters. one for the house and one for the basement apartment. It has a fair amount of windows and isn't that far in the ground. could get two incomes from the same property.

just saw your video it's very sad I'm 56and been on housing for many years ago my landlords hated to see me go I always stayed in one place for years at a time never tore anything up and always kept clean and free of roaches and mice I rented 4times from the same owner but different houses and anything that needed fixed I would have done myself just to show appreciation for the owners your age don't mean u have to be nasty that place had to be bad the whole time they was living there they just probably kept the living areas decent just in case the owners came by it is so sad people don't realize what it cost to keep a home fixed up no respect for the owners u all need to do a monthly inspection on the whole property then if it stay clean for the first 6months then do inspection every 2months it's sad to do that bit sometimes the repairs cost more than a whole year of rent .
In the 5 years my mom and I have been renting houses we never left a place this bad. The worst we left was my fault partially. The closet door in my room broke about 1 year into our rent there and I accidentally spilled wax from my wax melter on the wall (I paid for it though).
I think the government should change the laws for these kinds of situations. It should be called the “Tenants Trusty Act”, people who fuck you over THIS badly should be punished with heavy fines and maybe prison time, it’s basically vandalism.
I had tenants take the stove, refrigerators, all the light bulbs, the lights bulbs in the basement. But the left there old broken washing machine, and all these nasty clothes, all over the basement, and a mannequin. Not kidding. Oh they left me, millions of roaches. I never ever seen roaches so big. And in numbers, I mean in numbers. I believe roaches can survive a nuclear bomb. I had to bomb the house 5 times. Than once the population was down. I put down this gell. Every where. I thought the roaches were all dead, but once I put down the gell, those sneaky basters, started coming out of the walls to eat the gell. Than I bomb again and again. Than put down the gell. This took a long time. I want to make sure they were completely wiped out. I did not want to go work in the apartment until, every roach was gone. Because I did not want one of those sneaky basters, to get on my clothes, and then I would have roaches in my own home. Tenants bring roaches in, from there furniture and clothing, from a previous address. So glad I am out of this business. This business is like, shoveling a big pile of poop into the ocean, only to have the poop, wash back on shore,,,,🤪🤪🤣🤣🤣🤣. Truth..
I don't know if you will ever read this but when I help the lady clean up an apartment that was covered in fleas she bombed twice 1st before she let anybody in the house to clean it maybe that's something you could do
So why didn't you help her if you knew she was doing that all by herself although it's not your responsibility as a human being as a landlord why not help

just saw your video it's very sad I'm 56and been on housing for many years ago my landlords hated to see me go I always stayed in one place for years at a time never tore anything up and always kept clean and free of roaches and mice I rented 4times from the same owner but different houses and anything that needed fixed I would have done myself just to show appreciation for the owners your age don't mean u have to be nasty that place had to be bad the whole time they was living there they just probably kept the living areas decent just in case the owners came by it is so sad people don't realize what it cost to keep a home fixed up no respect for the owners u all need to do a monthly inspection on the whole property then if it stay clean for the first 6months then do inspection every 2months it's sad to do that bit sometimes the repairs cost more than a whole year of rent .
In the 5 years my mom and I have been renting houses we never left a place this bad. The worst we left was my fault partially. The closet door in my room broke about 1 year into our rent there and I accidentally spilled wax from my wax melter on the wall (I paid for it though).
you should keep flee spray in your van then you wont be taking flees home
He needs a disposable hazmat suit
they shred everything for nesting.
I think the government should change the laws for these kinds of situations. It should be called the “Tenants Trusty Act”, people who fuck you over THIS badly should be punished with heavy fines and maybe prison time, it’s basically vandalism.
If it's got mice it probably has snakes too.
Truth..
I wish I could see how many dumpsters it took. As well as the follow through with this house.
I don't know if you will ever read this but when I help the lady clean up an apartment that was covered in fleas she bombed twice 1st before she let anybody in the house to clean it maybe that's something you could do
I think most of these homes are already lost and just need a renovation or just bulldoze it over
Did she get her security deposit back?
YOOOO ! ! . ." 50" . . IS NOT ELDERLY , ask me when your in your 40's ! ! . . 🤨🙄😲😳🥴🤷
@ 3:26 that's probably somebody's ashes. Looks like an Urn to me. Please get out of there. We see🤦🏾♀️💀
No 50 isn't elderly. Mice usually go into the walls installation behind fridges or anywhere warm. The other pest... ooh what a mess!!
OMG mice and roaches running around I would not have paid rent neither. If anything I would have taken you to court.
Y would you throw your trash in the basement it's unreal mice, dead mice bedbugs, roaches, feces rotten food omg just burn it down
So why didn't you help her if you knew she was doing that all by herself although it's not your responsibility as a human being as a landlord why not help
I put my shirt over my nose just from looks of it my brain started kicking like get out get out!
"It's mice it's not rats."😳😳😕😕😕😭😭😭😭
Lol at all the elderly people in their 50s getting their fanny pack and baggy jeans in a bunch for been called elderly 😂

Fr what was under that cover 4:06😯😮😮😮 it was a body shape 16:59 😯😯😶
For the sake of your health please invest in disposable hazmat suits. You need a mask and gloves too! Breathing in that dust and mouse feces can be deadly Haunta Viris!
You know it's bad when you can see mice during the day.
I want a job doing this
Damn the roaches is big as the mice 🤔😅
You'll get the Plague from walking thru that dwelling.
