This one was at sunrise, so well before 11AM. If she stopped drinking at ~2/3AM and had been drinking all night , she was still impaired even after sleeping a few hours and on her way home. She'll probably get north of 6 years in Prison to think about it.
I’ve been almost hit more times than I can count. As of 3 months ago, I ride the sidewalk and ring my Bell. I’ll take the Ticket for riding the sidewalk. Terry&ThePirates
Welll they outlawed riding bikes on sidewalks. So they made these dumb bike lanes so bikers could cycle next to 18 wheelers and thousands of cars. it makes so much sense...lol
Florida law clearly provides that a bicyclist can utilize sidewalks to ride a bicycle. It is perfectly legal to ride a bicycle on a sidewalk. When there is an available bicycle lane OR when the sidewalk is crowded with pedestrians, it may be better to ride the bicycle on the side of the roadway. Whenever I have had the chance to ask a cyclist why they ride on the street when there is a perfectly good bike path or sidewalk they always say "its illegal to ride on the sidewalk." It isn't.
@@plaguebeast Check for local ordinances that may restrict bikes from riding on the sidewalk. Clues that this may be the case include sidewalk cafes and areas with a lot of foot traffic. they will stop you from riding on a sidewalk.
@@Wilem35 I just reviewed the pertinent Florida State Statutes. There are some other common-sense restrictions, but I saw no such restriction to bicycling on sidewalks that relates to wheel diameter. Are you thinking of some local or municipal statute? I'd be interested in seeing it, can you source this, please?
@@eddiesavino9862 Where in Florida do you live that they outlawed riding bikes on mostly vacant sidewalks? Beaches arguably have the most foot traffic in Florida & everyone rides on the sidewalks by them just fine.
It's so many people here in Stuart Fl now traffic is insane on the daily but drinking and driving a vehicle can absolutely be so dangerous to someone else life take a uber or just ask someone to pick you up something has to be done crime rate is definitely going up
Cyclists pay taxes and have the right to use the road. What other idiot opinions do you want to share to show that you don't understand how the world works?
Their entitlements? You mean like minding his own business riding his bike in the bike lane while a drunk 23 year old hits and and leaves him there? Those entitlements?
Yeah well that's why we dont ride exercise equipment where machines 10-20 times our weight doing double or quadruple our speed are being operated by people who don't even know how many government branches there are, while they also use a cell phone. Cycling on busy roadways is one of the dumbest possible things you can do in my opinion
I ride a motorcycle daily, for everything I do. Riding a bike on any road is FAR more dangerous. 1. You have a smaller profile. 2. You are never riding at vehicle speeds 3. Vehicles can pass you at any time. NOPE!
Everyone repent of your sins and turn to Jesus, for by grace are ye saved through faith that not that of yourselves it is the gift of God.Ephesians 2:8
Pick a different form of exercise, or don't bike on roadways with cars. All the jumping up and down and fist shaking will not change to fact that riding a bicycle on public roadways is extremely hazardous.
Paint is not bike infrastructure. Those painted bike lanes need to be physically protected from cars. Tall curbing, jerseys, bollards at a minimum. The car lanes are already too damn wide, I bet it's OK to take 2 feet away from them to provide some barrier for road users not enclosed in metal. As a cyclist I feel safer skitching a ride (grabbing onto a pickup truck or work vehicle) and matching car speeds than riding on a painted bike lane with cars going 60 mph next to me.
Most accidents (car) drivers blah blah blah or blah blah blah.... How about bicyclists riding in the vehicle lane and not the bike lane? How about bicyclists running stop signs and traffic lights? How about bicyclists riding at night with no lights or reflectors? How about bicyclists turning left across two lanes of traffic without looking first much less signaling. How about bicyclists riding drunk? No, no, no... you can NOT put it all on the cars.
Let this be a lesson to all Black riders and motorcycle riders on roads you ride at your own risk. Also I see so many motorcycle driving such reckless why is it hard for me to feel sorry when I hear about motorcycles let's get it because of how insane I see I'm driving about every day.
Without significant & substantial barricades to segregate these corridors and keep motorists from crossing over, motorists will keep running over cyclists. Bicycle Lanes that amount to no more than a green painted lane on the side of the roadway are Kill Zones. Some of the more egregiously dangerous lanes should probably be treated as something similar to an Attractive Nuisance.
All deaths caused by impaired drivers is very sad, but sit at a stop sign or traffic signal to check how many cyclist actually come to a complete stop or fully wait for the red light to turn green. Not all those deaths you reported on, are the fault of motorist.
In most places it's too dangerous to ride a motorcycle let alone a bicycle in the highway I don't even know them when they allow motorcycles on the highway because of how many people get killed on them. I get it some people love them and enjoy them but whenever it rains a lot you can't really ride on them I mean I guess you can if you don't mind being miserable when the rain given with the jacket and helmet but. I don't see what's so fun about it I just said the danger outweighs any fun. A scooter I can understand a little bit better but again the traffic on the highway it just so blame fast pace and so many people don't pay attention to a motorcyclist or bicycles or anything like that that it's still too dangerous.
