Besides boasting great weather and an incredible variety of landscapes and places to live...friendly, warm people...cultural activities...and a very affordable cost of living...Panama is also one of the easiest countries on our beat for U.S. and Canadians to integrate into-making your move quick, easy, and hassle-free.
International Living's Panama Editor Jessica Ramesch explains more in this video.

And the constant emails pushing Panama by International Living annoy me. Unless you live at elevation, it's uncomfortably hot and humid, hardly a paradise.

This was one of your best video Jessica. I can't wait to move to Panama. I've visited twice and hope to make it my home in 2020 when I retire. Could you discuss the cost to move your belongings to Panama and what avenues there are to transport you furnishings and car from the states to Panama? Thank you.

This is not to you but the other site don’t offer me an opportunity to comment. Why they are always showing the same places when it comes to Colon? The only show, for the most part, Avenida Central or Avenida Bolivia what about 7th Street. Each? What about Club Nautico? What about the Canal Zone, Coco Solo and the like? Come on show me something other than.

I was hoping you were going to talk more about the process of the pensionado visa and the discounts, but you basically just went over old news and irrelevant information about the US involvement with the Canal and that of course, more people went to live in Panamá after the Canal was completed. This video is really useless!

I would not say that Panama is a cosmopolitan country exclusivelly due to its longlasting relations with the US. Panama has being recieving inmigrants from all over the world way before the American construction of the Canal. Before this there was the French atempt of a canal, the construction fo the transistmic railway, wich atracted people from Asia, Europe, the Antillas, etc.
And even before that there was the Camino de Cruces and the Camino Real. Routes that the Spanich used to cross the isthmus. The Ferias de Portobelo.
In short. Panama has arround half a milenia of history charactericed by inmigration and trade of products from all over the globe.
