This was very good. I was struggling with knowing that there is a lot of passion within me. However, to win my husband's heart, I need a gentle and quiet spirit. What I learned is that the more I submit my control to his leadership as head of the home and the more I listen, he will see a gentle and quiet spirit. Very good.
A gentle and quiet spirit is not about suppressing your passionate self or changing yourself to "win" your husband or anyone else really. I believe it is more about the state of your spirit, your inner self, that peace within of knowing your strength in Christ and knowing how to live passionately and yet have enough grace for your loved ones. Listen to the Video again I think the ladies explain it better.
Me and my daughter was watching this together. She said when it finished...why was that so quick...as much as we heard everyone's take of this subject, it is in fact a conversation and can be explored even more!!!! Very many more depths to it and I am inspired to share with my circle of sisters x Thanks for sharing
The quietness for me is as the first speaker says, not trying to control everything and everyone else especially with my "examples". It takes the joy of discovery away from others. In marriage specifically, it could be about maintaining the line of command and taking our concerns to God and not try to correct or control the man.
I do believe that Christian women should aim to be gentle and quiet on the outside because in Proverbs it says that the woman of folly was "loud and boisterous".
Hi Kimberly. I totally understand where you’re coming from but submission to God means following His Word (John 4:15). In Ephesians 5:22-23 God explicitly instructs wives to submit to their husbands. Submission isn’t an evil act. I hope you pray about this issue and seek biblical counseling so that you’ll come to a correct understanding of what it means to be submissive. I would advise studying this concept in The Word and allowing The Holy Spirit to guide you into truth. I hope you’re doing well sister 💛
It does. Ephesians 5:21 “ Submit yourselves to one another because of your reverence for Christ.” and again in 1 Corinthians 7 “ The husband must fulfill his duty to his wife, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; and likewise also the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.” Furthermore Biblical submission isn't like the world’s.
Of course it didn't. Not once did the video say read the Word and heed its instruction. You will find the answer to your question by reading the Bible. 1 Timothy and Titus have great instruction.
Listen to each produce their own mirrored self admitted faults with side-tracked “softer words” how one is not truly adhering. Sorry girls, I see strong outwardly control in cases where you think better (which I’m sure you do many times over in your family). If you are a strong woman why would you not use that strength towards your weaknesses. It’s not that your man may need guidance but change the delivery to a more pleasing manner.
I'm smiling ear to ear watching this. Appreciate the wisdom of these mature sisters. Praise God!

@@elledeanne462 then how come it doesn’t say men, submit (listen) to your wives?

I think the man is supposed to submit to God because the head of man is God but then the woman is supposed to submit to that type of man
woman are to submit to two men. 1. her father. 2. her husband.
How should a loud, energetic and passionate woman be with a calm, quiet and meek man?
calm and respectful.
