Nagisa had all the opportunity in the world to shoot Karma, but chose not to. And when Nagisa was choking Karma, Karma had the perfect opportunity to stab him in the back with his knife and win. But it was Karma who chose to lose because of the situation Nagisa had put him in. If he had stabbed Nagisa in the back, he and his team would've won, but everyone would've thought it a dirty move to pull. So, instead, he surrendered.
