Strollers are pretty safe I agree. Last spring I accidentally left my wallet on top of our stroller and realized it mid ride (seemingly longest ride ever) it was there when I got back completely untouched. I would not recommend doing this lol but glad it was safe

Because of your great content I was able to replicate your rope drop strategy with LLMP to see both parks in one day. I manage to ride over 20 rides and had a blast.

Ive been making dining reservations all week at 6am on the dot for our trip in December. Blue Bayou reservations are gone in about minute but was able to get one. 😊

I found the hardest dining reservation to get was Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar. I've eaten outside on walk-up but I really want to go inside! After investigating for a few days, I found that Tiki Bar was released for booking a good 2 hours before the rest - so start checking at 4am PST if you REALLY want that reservation! Also, they don't seem to take reservations for more than 4 people 😥
Hi I want to thank you for all the vids I was at the park last Wed the hottest day of the week but made 13 rides not an easy thing at my age and found out that some of them are more violent than i thought maybe you could do a vid for older people my age 77 and around my age indiana jones was a lot did not know it was a rollercoaster type i ended up with many black and blue marks on my arms after being tossed around lol i did take the advise and went back to my hotel from 1:30 to 5:30 after being there at rope drop and out at 10:30 again thanks for your help

I know a lot of your videos talk about rope drop and the golden hours. I'm not sure if you've even done one, but what about a video on closing the park? Maybe next time you get a room you can show what it's like to come in later and do closing instead of rope drop. I'm an early bird and can't hang until closing, but others are the opposite and it'll be interesting to see crowds and wait times at 10 pm instead of 10 am. Also, how you would do rides differently.
@@mzsantana87 We have plans to do this soon. This Friday in fact. But I can 100% guarantee you Amy and Benjamin will not make it past 9 PM. Even with a hotel.
Park hopper ticket is only necessary if there are specific events/character appearances in both parks on the same day that you want to do. I find one day at DCA is sufficient at its current size. Lists are great. If you're doing multiple days at one park, I pick a couple of lands per day and plan rides on that calender.
@@tanyaprimmer218 They won’t announce them until December-ish. You’ll likely have to make adjustments later after booking your initial trip. They tend to favor Tuesday, Thursdays, and Sundays for events. And it’ll be at Disneyland. So avoid Disneyland on those days of the week is a good rule of thumb.

My recommendations. Rope drop, be in line by 7 am. Booking, go through Get away today, start looking for hotels 9 months out, free breakfast is key, saves $30-50 per day! Rest rides, pirates and small world, use them to rest, also Tiki room! If staying off site DL hotel tower lobbies are a great place to take a break, charge devices! Don’t over eat, small meals!

Maleficent is getting really popular right now since a couple of videos of people freaking out because she treated them in character. So she was like "you peasants need to get out of my way" when she was walking through the crowed and people stopped and started yelling at her that they are the customers and she should never talk to them like that. Complete Karen's, i would be so ecstatic for her to say that to me! And she just keeps on going in character explaining how much lower than her they were triggering them more. Like when douches try to challenge the people playing Gaston and they hit back and they freak out!.
I have a question about logistics. Two of us coming to disneyland shortly. Can we manage both our reservations, lightening lane purchases, food ordering etc through one phone/app/ disney account or do we each have to do this separately on each of our phones and create separate disney accounts?Thanks in advance for your help?
I would recommend you do it on one app. It's a headache trying to coordinate multiple tickets on multiple devices. If you plan to be together the whole time, there's no reason for separate apps/devices at all.
If you were staying at the Disneyland hotel and have five day hopper passes with lightning lane multi pass and a larger group, do you all get magic bands? Or is this something you have to purchase separately and set up? I don’t know much about the magic bands or if anybody can get them.
@@bestdaysahead921 Nobody will get MagicBands. They don’t even give them for free at WDW anymore like they used to. You would have to purchase MagicBands separately if you wanted them. They’re $35 minimum, per person. Most people opt to just use their phone to scan in for lightning lanes. I do like MagicBands, and recommend them if you regularly (at least once a year) visit WDW. If not, then I would probably pass on MagicBands.
You didn't get an answer so I will jump in! You won't be given Magic Bands (sadly!) - that's something you can choose to buy if you wish, but it's not necessary. You can use them to scan in to the attractions and not much else, and they cost around $35 each. Most people just use their phones to scan in - you can have everyone's ticket on one phone.
Great video. I would recommend reading the Unofficial Guide to DL or WDW for more in-depth information for whichever park you chose. Watching this podcast is extremely helpful. Practicing mobile order or lighting lane use at home prior to your trip makes the day less stressful. My trips are multiple days, so pre-buying LL(Genie+) and park hopping at DL was a must. LL came with the added perk of photopass. As a camera person, I liked actually being in the pictures for a change. A travel agent is helpful for making dining reservations and other special experiences. I'm with you on Magic Bands. They are a must at WDW (helps extend the life of your phone battery). A waste of money at DL. Prep walking is a must to survive either park. Traver, I had to laugh at your "micromanage your vacation" comment. Clearly, you have never vacationed with my theme park commando sister.
I have to chime in on weather. I am from So. Cal -Durarte- and now live in Reno NV. 60 degrees is not 60 degrees. Please realize So Cal - Anaheim - is HUMID!! I am freezing at 60 degrees in Anaheim but am ready for shorts in Reno's dry climate. Keep this in mind. I have got to have a seater almost any time the sun is not out in So Cal Heads up
@@LoraineGutierrez13 Good point. 60 is definitely chilly here. I usually say so, but most people think I’m just acclimated to the warmer weather. Which is partly true. Because someone coming from 0 degrees wouldn’t find 60 cold at all. Even here. But absolutely it’s colder than people think.

@@sage1102 There’s a CVS right down the street that’s walkable. Not the best prices, though, I would imagine. I’ve always just used Amazon Now in the past when we’ve gone to WDW. Call your hotel and ask about their food delivery policies. Disney has always been able to accept things like Milk even, but I’m not sure about your everyday hotel. So it’s good to check with them first. They’ll be able to accept all non-perishables I would assume. As it’s just like any other package.
What an amazing video, very well organized, a must-watch guide for anyone going to Disney, no matter if you’re a beginner or a professional Disney traveler. Also, I thought about an idea for a video, one showing all chicken exits of the rides. This might be something that you could add to your list of potential videos ideas. I’m not sure how many people are like me, someone who doesn’t go in many rides but also hates missing all the fun stuff you can see along the queues. Hey Traver! My family and I are coming over from Australia for our first ever Disney trip in the first week of November. SO happy to see World of Colour will be back open by then. Question - what's your opinion on purchasing the World of Colour dining packages for viewing? I'd prefer not to (so we can eat elsewhere without being tied to a reservation), but if it's the only way to get a good view then I'd be open to it. Keen to hear your thoughts :)
@@James_Duggan I don’t even know how the dining packages work. You don’t eat while watching the show. That’s the Dessert Party, which I’m actually trying out on November 15th. I’m pretty sure there’s just a reserved spot. I’ve never done it and we’ve watched world of color through the regular virtual queue many times without issues. No dining package necessary.

Anaheim Majestic Garden used to be Anaheim Sheraton. They never should have sold it. Speaking of Sheraton... DO NOT stay at Sheraton Four Points! The rooms are equivalent to Motel 6 rooms! Anaheim Marriott Suites have very nice rooms. Two blocks from Pixar Pals parking lot on Harbor & Chapman. Very good weekend rate too.
@@JosephYesh I stayed at Four Points once and didn’t mind it. A lot of the local hotels have motel type rooms. I just didn’t like the walk over the bridge at the night. But it had good firework views. One of the best actually. And the pool was very nice looking.
When I bought my tickets on the website, it automatically made my reservation, I couldn't find a way to do it, so I called them, and I was told it was automatic when the tickets were purchased. should I worry about this? We're going next week, and I don't want to show up and be unable to go into the parks.
@@titaniagasca2839 You’re fine. You can check easily on the app, too. Under Future Plans. You can also login on the Disneyland website and check the reservations. When it shows what park you are in what day, you have reservations. When you buy tickets for a trip that is within six months, you are prompted to select the park and the day. This makes your reservation. You can’t purchase tickets that are more than 6 months out unless it’s in a hotel package. And only then do you need to make a reservation separately after the 6 month mark when reservations open up.
@@titaniagasca2839 you should also be aware that they haven’t actually run out of reservations for day guests in a really long time. It’s mostly just passholders than run out. Meaning that even if by some random odd chance you didn’t have a reservation, you’d still likely be able to get in after making one right then and there.

Wagon strollers? Might need to double check that. I went last Sat, Sun, & Mon. I encountered at least 1 wagon stroller each day. But I hope they didn't change the policy. I agree they shouldn't be allowed. Too bulky to be in the parks.
@@JosephYesh They aren’t allowed, but if you see one it’s being used as a wheelchair for a child. They are always tagged on the handle as having been approved as a mobility device.
PSA for people taking ibuprofen for soreness at the parks: make sure to eat first! It can cause GI irritation (stomach pain, nausea, etc.) if taken on an empty stomach, and that’s the last thing you want while on vacation!

@@JosephYesh I stayed at Four Points once and didn’t mind it. A lot of the local hotels have motel type rooms. I just didn’t like the walk over the bridge at the night. But it had good firework views. One of the best actually. And the pool was very nice looking.

When I bought my tickets on the website, it automatically made my reservation, I couldn't find a way to do it, so I called them, and I was told it was automatic when the tickets were purchased. should I worry about this? We're going next week, and I don't want to show up and be unable to go into the parks.
@@titaniagasca2839 You’re fine. You can check easily on the app, too. Under Future Plans. You can also login on the Disneyland website and check the reservations. When it shows what park you are in what day, you have reservations.
When you buy tickets for a trip that is within six months, you are prompted to select the park and the day. This makes your reservation.
You can’t purchase tickets that are more than 6 months out unless it’s in a hotel package. And only then do you need to make a reservation separately after the 6 month mark when reservations open up.
@@titaniagasca2839 you should also be aware that they haven’t actually run out of reservations for day guests in a really long time. It’s mostly just passholders than run out.
Meaning that even if by some random odd chance you didn’t have a reservation, you’d still likely be able to get in after making one right then and there.

Wagon strollers? Might need to double check that. I went last Sat, Sun, & Mon. I encountered at least 1 wagon stroller each day.
But I hope they didn't change the policy. I agree they shouldn't be allowed. Too bulky to be in the parks.
@@JosephYesh They aren’t allowed, but if you see one it’s being used as a wheelchair for a child. They are always tagged on the handle as having been approved as a mobility device.

PSA for people taking ibuprofen for soreness at the parks: make sure to eat first! It can cause GI irritation (stomach pain, nausea, etc.) if taken on an empty stomach, and that’s the last thing you want while on vacation!
Can't endorse your recommendation of walking before you go to DL highly enough. We usually walk 10-12 miles per visit.

Strollers are pretty safe I agree. Last spring I accidentally left my wallet on top of our stroller and realized it mid ride (seemingly longest ride ever) it was there when I got back completely untouched.
I would not recommend doing this lol but glad it was safe
