I can’t stand people. I’ve worked customer service for years & still don’t understand why there are nasty people out there. I watch your videos as a ‘Disney bubble’ to escape & also sooooo appreciate your tips & tricks that have helped me plan our last 2 trips in the last 2 years. Thanks for pushing past the negatives to keep going for the rest of us!!
TBH I was in customer service for my first several jobs and I didn't have much trouble. That was over a decade ago so maybe it's just worse now? Also as a customer I get sick of getting walked on and usually customer service just kicks me when down. From destroyed packages, delivery people refusing to deliver a package (with full address and no emergency), being over charged .....it's about a 50% chance customer service will just waste your time and make one feel like crap when I was raised to be very polite and I try to use the golden rule...about 25% chance they will actually be upfront and tell you they just can't help you (and their job is a mystery at that point), 10% chance they will help you and fix the issue in some way...and sometimes you get them wasting your time, asking you to check back, making false promises and then it happens again. Sorry for the rant....but maybe some people are tired of the crap. It doesn't make it right for them to mistreat you or anything but we all have bad days. Your job is mainly about people having a bad experience it sounds like (how many times would someone reach out to CS for something positive?)
You poor thing- what a distressing reaction to upholding community guidelines and standards. It’s a shame but please know that so many of us truly appreciate what you do; sharing your time and dedication to providing info that helps us to enjoy the best time at Disneyland and DCA.
It’s truly amazing how Facebook moderates their platform. I see way more disturbing things that don’t get reported, and yet your Community page gets “removed”. What ultimately matters most though is that you and your family are winning the game of life, and thank you all for what you do for all of us who enjoy your channel!

Wow, people are crazy!! I’m sorry!! I’ve loved your FB group! It helped me to prepare so much for my trip!! I actually joined several Disneyland FB groups and yours was the best. One of the other main groups was so restrictive about what a person could ask, I just gave up trying to get answers there. People should be so greatful that you are kind and fair. Just know there are so many people out there who love what you are doing!

Agreed. I haven't used FB for a long time. I was using it to keep basic contact with some family and friends that refuse to text etc but now I realize if they can't type a text or make a phone call they probably don't care anyway. FB is bad

That's one of the biggest downsides to monopolized social media platforms. Back in the day you could just purchase a hosted site and run your own forms and you'd have complete control. Now everything has to be on a social media platform, e.g FB, reddit, youtube, etc. They have ultimate control over everything and can push you out or just drop your account all together. On a side note, social media content creation is a lot of work (and kind of scary), and I for one really appreciate the all of the tutorials, tips, and informational videos you've created in the past few years - besides being helpful, I truly enjoy just watching your videos, sometimes I'll just put them on in the background while I sit at my desk working away. You have a right to be mad, I would be as well, but you have truly made a huge difference for a lot of people that really care about the park and enjoying their time there. Good work and thank you!

I remember seeing the aftermath in the group, and normally I’m bad with leaving comments on youtube, but I just have to say you handled it really well despite it all. I’m a mod from a different fb group and I’ve seen this type of thing go down before, it’s also usually not just one report, sometimes fb’s AI will take action if they receive multiple reports for the same account. It’s the AI’s way of understanding it’s “something serious” even if it’s actually something this small. Even when reaching out to fb support they want ID confirmation, like how you gonna have an ID with a nickname?? But either way, sorry it happened to you. I plan to make my first group post about an upcoming trip to Disneyland, so hopefully we can easily overcome it. Much love to you and Amy and the kids. 💜

So sorry you are going through this. Same thing happened to me on RUclips, I had to delete all but a few videos and stop posting because it was a non stop fight. Once someone disliked me, they were relentless in taking me down. I hope it all works out for you I really love your channel here. I don't use FB or IG so YT is my only hope for your content.
I dont know if it would help but I plan on saving your videos to maybe help push them out to other viewers. Maybe YT sees them saved and thinks they are extra good. (?)
The other thing I wanted to add is, your YT comment section is always so positive compared to other creators. If you read some of the other creators comments they are all negative and bashing Disneyland. So for you to have positive comments ruling your YT vids, says a lot about how you present your content. Maybe on FB people are just running feral making the negativity a snowball effect?

I went to DL 2x this last year and only once the upcoming year, but i will continue to watch your videos weekly! I also love the members videos of the places near your home, its fun to sightsee through your lens. Hang in there, you are setting a standard, and getting pushback. The pushback should lessen as people learn to respect your standards.

Idk if jealous, I think they are selfish jerks that were upset to find out that adults without families aren't going to get treated like kids just because they refuse to grow up. I would BET they dislike kids in general and yet attend Disney regularly (or would if they could). The worst type of Disney guest. (Barring extremes of course).

First off, my wife and I love your family and videos! We've never thought that you guys wouldn't allow your kids to eat. People are insensitive and insane if they even think something like that, don't listen to them!! Your boys are great, you and your wife have such fun personalities, and we enjoy you all so much. The fact that you tried to create a FB page for fans and DL goers with a broader range aside from your great videos shows how much you care to help people out. Someone who would whine because their comment was offensive to many others just trying to have a fun page to engage at shows how pathetic they are, and don't let them bring you down! Thank you so very much for all you and the family do for others, we enjoy everything so much and look forward to any and everything else you have for us 👏🏼❤!

Hey Traver - hi from the UK! We visited Disneyland earlier this year and your videos were absolutely invaluable in helping us plan - particularly for the Start Wars Nite! I've just managed to join your Facebook page so hopefully you are out of 'Jail' now! We'd love it if you visited Disneyland Paris (and maybe the UK) soon!
So sorry you are going through this. Same thing happened to me on RUclips, I had to delete all but a few videos and stop posting because it was a non stop fight. Once someone disliked me, they were relentless in taking me down.

I don't use FB or IG so YT is my only hope for your content.
I dont know if it would help but I plan on saving your videos to maybe help push them out to other viewers. Maybe YT sees them saved and thinks they are extra good. (?)
The other thing I wanted to add is, your YT comment section is always so positive compared to other creators. If you read some of the other creators comments they are all negative and bashing Disneyland. So for you to have positive comments ruling your YT vids, says a lot about how you present your content. Maybe on FB people are just running feral making the negativity a snowball effect?

So sorry that a bad apple has caused you this problem. In my opinion, they are jealous of your knowledge and reach in the Disneyland Community. Having said that, it is more than impressive that you are supporting yourself and your family by going to Disney-related places! THAT is completely AWESOME!
Idk if jealous, I think they are selfish jerks that were upset to find out that adults without families aren't going to get treated like kids just because they refuse to grow up. I would BET they dislike kids in general and yet attend Disney regularly (or would if they could). The worst type of Disney guest. (Barring extremes of course).
Sorry you have to go through this. I am looking forward to the food guides and tips videos as those will be the ones my hubby and I will watch to make our plans for our trip in April. No sense in watching old info for a new year.

SoCal Disney Dad is a fantastic channel. I learn something useful with every video. You and your family are wonderfully nice people and you are great parents. The boys are having the childhood of dreams being able to grow up at the parks. Not really familiar with FB. Stayed off it all of these years.

I always “like” every one of your videos, but I had no idea that writing comments or becoming a member could help you more. I will do more to help your channel, because your channel is amazing!
