What I find odd is that nobody seems to use a bubble plastic thing (over the water) to keep the steam in the tub and not going into the cover. I have for years and is greatly extends the life of covers. No idea why people wouldn't use this. Costs all of 50 bucks. Sure it is one more thing to remove and put back on for each use, but it is so worth it.
