This is probably the most important video ever made about the QR. literally every instructor should teach the QR with this exact mindset. So many people still treating it like before we had a 'reride' system, which is like 20 years ago. Seen so many bad things happen that could've easily been prevented by just pulling the QR sooner. Good work!

Having started my kite life with instruction through Elite I have used my release as a tool consistently saving me, others and my kites from serious harm. I have definitely saved my kites from the trees many times after losing my board in deep water or finding myself pinched in closer to the shore than I felt comfortable trying to ride away. Thanks for always providing us great videos and gear here in St Pete.

Excellent! Shared! If you have to eject, you already made a mistake before!

Good advice. I tell all of my students to mainly do water releases while they are in the early stages of riding independently, so that it becomes a natural and easy thing for them to do whenever they need it.

This is so awesome. We hire instructors from around the world and we do have to change their approach. We have mad it a requirement that the first lesson and through out it to have have the student eject in 3x different scenarios at minimium. First starting with the first exposure safety and theory portion, in water not on land because we have knee deep for miles, then while ending their body drag session, then before we go in at the end of the lesson during the middle of whatever exercise they had been doing

Thank you man! interesting suggestion! please could I know how many knots you need to stay upwind with this new Zephyr V8 and a big twintip board? (not a door, something around 148cm)

Yep, I now kite solo exclusively because I live where no one else kites, let alone has even seen a kiter, so the eject or QR gets used a lot. I also depend on safely launching and landing alone. Careful planning goes into every session.

We make it quite clear to all students... we will never shame you and only praise you for ejecting. Its a tool, not a safety device.
      Your awesome!
