Electrical engineer here, specialising in broadcast systems, so audio and video are right up my alley.
My professional opinion on cables within any identical category or application: in short runs, they differ in build quality but not in electrical characteristics. You don't observe significant differences in electrical characteristics until you hit significant lengths, as in about 60m/198ft, and that's what sets a cheap cable apart from a better cable. That's more of an issue for digital signals rather than analogue. Even then, that better cable is not to the tune of $500 for a couple of metres! That kind of pricing is extortionate and nobody in my industry would ever take that manufacturer seriously.
Anyone who dares suggest that their guitar or microphone cable sounds better over another needs to simply be avoided.

Hey Ola ! I do elec engineering, and maybe that cable is built with materials used for, let's say, power cables. Between yours and the new one, maybe they use the same conductor quality so the audio part is the same.
Maybe they used a shield to prevent any external disturbance, as well as an armour to prevent mechanical damage etc ...
Or maybe it's just a scam.
they shouldn't focus on sound... it will never be noticeable unless the comparing cable is really cheap or broken... so I would sell the reliability and toughness in gig/studio situations, like the cymbal test.

The new Marshall “Ola Metal” head?
I have some Monster cables and Planet Waves cables I bought like 10+ years ago and they are still going strong, never had a problem out of either. So glad I made the decision to pay for some quality cables that actually lasted more than a couple of months.
Same here. I have a 20 year old 21 ft. Monster Rock that is still rock solid.
I'll comment yet again that I would love to see ESP pick up Dean brand and regain its legacy - they did and are doing a great job with Schecter.
ESP has nothing to do with Schecter other than having the same owner.

Hi Ola, my first solar guitar came in the mail this week. It is a V2.6 LB awesome chug machine, I tuned it to drop B and wow!
I want to start making casual RUclips videos on various music topics, so I made an unboxing video of the guitar but I’m nervous to upload since it’s my first one. I watch a lot of yt and I feel my video is not up to the standards of what I think a video should be! Just wanted to share. Thanks for the guitar!

500 € for a cable ... no way. IMHO, apart from the acoustic guitar test, a good one to check the quality of a cable is to plug it to a bass and a DI. If you didn´t notice differences on the low frequencies, let´s say from 50 hz to 250 hz ... they are selling smoke.

There is for SURE 200 people over the course of Metallica's 40 plus year career who still care about them and/or Kirk enough to fork over fifteen grand for those guitars.
The way that case is usually setup for fans:
- Bottom- intake, like you have them at the end
- side - intake, opposite the way you have at the end
- rear, output, opposite the way you have at the end
- top/radiator, output, the way you have it at the end
This is the right way! The side and back are inverted

Well he really did a great job, only the case pressure isn't right...
For Positive Pressure we walkways need more intake fans than exhausts,
Normally the front (in is "case" the side ones) and bottom fans are intakes, top and back are exhausts, that's because the Cpu ang Gpu are the main source of heat, and we want that hot air out as fast as possible trough the closest fans (even more in air colling systems).
Is system will run just fine, the problem is only negative pressure will lead to dust entering through every hole and dusting all components inside the machine is way worse than cleaning the air filters.
Other than that great looking build right there 😉

I always wondered who owns the trademark of the Stealth. I guess Ola read that file of this court case very extendedly before putting out his x-type model.
except we had the X-type in design and ready long before this was even a thing. I wanted to make my own shape that is far from Dimebags shapes. The only thing taking long was that we tweaked it around a lot until it was perfect. Lockdowns didn't speed things up...
Court cases take years and years in the US, it’s ridiculous.

I used to have a Jackson Dinky from back in the late 80's or early 90's and I absolutely loved that guitar. The craftsmanship was top notch, the new (entry-intermediate) stuff they've come out with recently isn't even close to on that level. Glad to see Mick change, but yeah swapping from seymour duncan was quite a surprise. On the dimebag v dean stuff, dean is 1 of two brands of guitars I will never touch, dean for all the scummy crap like this they've been pulling and gibson because their (lack of) QC and price gouging is just out of control. Both companies could go under tomorrow and I wouldn't bat and eye.

The way you went through the Dean Guitar court case is so easily understandable that I don't even know why it hasn't been sorted yet. How Dean can think they are able to defend themselves when they seem to have clearly ignored a legally binding contract to do exactly what they said they weren't going to. Let's hope it wraps up soon and Dean have to cover the court costs for the Dimebag estate for wasting their time/money along with the amount of cash they made on the back of the estate.
Hey Swola! Love ur channel. I really enjoy ur sense of humor and charisma with making music and metal content. I agree with ur comment on deathcollector releasing new music. That stuff makes me happy as well. Hearing music that sounds old. And thank u for the dimebag news with the feud between him and Dean guitars. I think they should just drop it. I’m sure a lot of people would like to see more dime guitars instead of making the situation stall any longer
I think the Dimebag's case is extremely tricky from a lawyer's perspective. Like it or not, the design is now registered, so discussions will probably develop into very technical considerations around the legitimacy of the registration and conditions that could not have been met when Concordia decided to file for registration. It will take time.

Me too. All you need from a cable is good connectors and good shielding. There is no reason to pay more than ~30 Euros for a guitar cable. Anything more is paying for superstitious nonesense.

For the price of that cable I'm getting a wireless system. I can tell you that from an EE perspective that cable will not make a difference in the sound of a guitar. Any cable with a heavy enough gauge of wire will not affect the sound in the audible range.

CABLES! I have some nice boss BIC-P10 ones, a vovox expensive one and many more.The ones I use most of the time are cheap D’Addario and cheap Tourtec pros lol At the end of the day, you play what sounds best with what you use 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

These court cases make me want to start guitar company that builds specifically Gibson V shape guitars and Dimebag shape guitars.
Btw Gibson sued Dean for using the V, SG, ES and Explorer shapes and apparently won.

Freedom of Information Act (U.S.) actually allows anyone access to information such as this lawsuit. The Government can charge administrative fees , and redact information they find sensitive.

That finish on your Solar, in the intro, reminds me SO much of the Ibanez Vintage Violin finish, considering Ibanez doesn't like to do that finish anymore, and even when they do it lately, they often do it really poorly (way too light), I am honestly compelled to get a Solar.
the fan at the back is set to pull air in, turn it around, so it pulls air out from your system, to be honest i'd have left the bottom fans blowing fresh air up to the graphics card as the graphics card fans pull air in and over the heatsink fans, so with bottom fans pulling air down away from the graphics card fans trying to pull air in it might cause a small temp difference :)
24:00 From what I see, 4 fans are oriented to be an intake, and 6 are exhaust. That will create a negative pressure inside the case and dusts will enter through the nooks and crannies of the case.

In America a lot of times if it is a person or group against a big company they will just stall the case however they can to try and get it to where the individual can't afford the attorney fees to continue to pursue it. It's messed up but it happens alot. That or if it makes them look bad they might settle out of court.

Has ola done the higher priced Harley Benton models yet like the fusion 3 ??? I got a silver sparkle with the Roswell's and it plays absolutely savagely, it holds tune better than just about anything expensive I've played/owned and it handles heavy distortion in drop c very very well, bright and punchy yet thick with bite 🤘🤘🤘

Marshall being sold to Sweden is a big shocker only because Marshall is such a classic "Break-up" Amp and Swedish Heavy Metal is very much more like a Mesa Boogie type of tone. It's going to be very interesting if they can even make a difference in the "Modern" Swedish Death Metal Sound because of the under spoken way of how they produce the Amps Overdrive Stage is very different and can it even produce the sounds needed. Regardless Marshall is an awesome amp company I love the Vintage Modern Tones of Guns n Roses all the way to classic Metallica and AC/DC but hey man maybe they can do it after all!!! Good luck to Marshall I sound like a complete smart a$$ but really do hope they can do it because Marshall Rocks!!! ..lol What does Ola think of this ..wait until 2am it says, hehe
