@@tonyparson4392 yep lol. Doesn’t hurt anything mostly but I wouldn’t run these if your only parking outside. Mine lives in the garage but I’ve left it out in the weather for months. Not like the water gets inside the engine.
Thank you for the reply back. I put a small block Chevrolet in my YJ And I kind of went overboard and put a show car motor everything on it is chrome and I was thinking about this, but I think I better figure something else out. Lol.
@@tonyparson4392 I have a solution for you. 5.9 Jeep ZJ ( mid 90's Grand Gherokee) came with factory hood vents, they have a drip tray built into them that you can route the water away. Only came on the 5.9 v8 though. I have a set of them in the garage
I like your video, do you see a different when it comes to the engine temperature, YJ as the tendency to do vapor lock is your engine running cool on high temp, plz le us know before I make this purchase thank you
It helps lower the underhood temperature yes. Not the actual engine/coolant temp. I have has vapor lock issues in the past, none since installing this on there earlier this year. You can also check out my other video on homemade vents, and consider insulation on the fuel lines/fuel rail. Thx for watching
@@FlawedOffroad so I have already insulated my fuel rail and also my injector , and now I’m think you purchased the hood louver so it can have less heat inside the engine , also For a better look , thank you
Such a badass looking mod ! Very well made step by step how to !
Thanks, I appreciate the kind words! Send it to your friends 😂
Just ordered mine 🫡
Does those louvers cause a lot of rain water get in there on your motor?
