I separated the tracks and individually freed them from background noise. They were then put back together and the tuning was changed, especially the bass can now be heard better.
I think the style of the song would have fit well on "A hard Day's night".

I wonder… Did George Harrison play that acoustic 12 string lead using John Lennon‘s guitar from the Help! movie - that was recently recovered after missing for something like 50 years? although, I could see John Lennon overdubbing that lead himself - wasn’t beyond his scope🤔
Since this is a blend of Lennon's acoustic demo with the instrumental backing that the Dakotas did for Billy J. Kramer, the lead guitarist is probably Mike Maxfield of the Dakotas

Sounds to me like it was never a serious contender for one of their own albums … just dashed off quickly as a demo so they could shop it out to Billy J Kramer. The Beatles famously gave away quite a few songs to other people that they deemed were subpar for themselves
