I have two Citizen titaniums: BM7430-89L(dark blue) and BM7430-89A(white) and these belong to the most comfortable watches in my collection to wear. Thin and very lightweight. The watch in this video is very attractive. And there is a blue dial version of it as well.
I have a Citizen Eco Drive Titanium that was bought used about 2012. It still keeps perfect time, and I wear it once a week or so. It`s a big 43 mm, and looks big on me, but I like it.
This is a very nice watch, its virtually identical to the Cotizen ecodrive BM8560-88L which seems to differ only in that it doesn't have red bits around the edge, they're a lime green. Other than that it's apparently identical. Bought it from a local jeweller just after Christmas 2022 for £225 which included a 10% discount. I bought it because I'd wanted an ecodrive, and this has a lovely unassuming military/field watch feel, and I display it now in a display box until I wear it (special occasions only).
I'm new to watches but I'm not new to Titanium. Seems like the watch industry downplays it or doesn't use it to it's full potential. Yes, it is light like everybody says, but it's also a very hard and very tough material. It takes specialized tools to machine this stuff and on something this small you will break many of those tools and very often.(ask me how I know) If you add heat to it you can change it into some really nice colors, it will go from dull gray to shades of gold then purple and into dark blue. I'll end this lesson on the properties of titanium by saying I also just bought a Citizen Titanium Chronograph.
This is an industry that still presumes mechanical watches superior to quartz as well. U getting a titanium eco drive with a sapphire glass for under $300 😂😂😂😂. Why as many people r still buying Swiss 🧀 is beyond me.
@@chevy4x466 it’s because is a craft, an art and there’s a level of beauty in having something made by old methods. Of course I love citizen and technology I have 3 of them and no automatics but would like one of quality someday
@@nikodominiko I bought a micro brand Swiss watch, fortis marine master b42, it is a nice watch. After a few years it would often stop. I spent $1500 about 15-20 years ago on it. I plan I getting it overhauled at some point. I guess the point I am trying to make is that I find high precision quartz to be a greater feat of craftsmanship at this point than the art of miniaturization. I am not trying to compare a Chinese quartz to an in house Swiss movement. But most of these Swiss watch’s don’t use in house movements and are assembled with some Chinese material under the Swiss made name. I have a lot of respect for the Swiss watch makers. I could have bought a Rolex for 4k 20 years ago, or a breitling for 2k, or and iwc for the same. The prices are out of control, I cannot justify the price. I wish u well. I hope u can get ur dream watch soon. I guess for me I can’t afford having school age children still.
Great Price...like its lightness.... simple design. Definitely easy to see....like the black dial...and solar power. Day/date could be bigger....I like the white dial ...clear lume. Would like to see the bracelet in leather. Wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving Jonah!! ☺☺
I love this watch except for the crown. It gets caught on clothing and pops out too easily. It actually broke completely off and I had to have it replaced which was half the price of the watch. You have to be extremely careful while putting on or taking off a jacket or anything long sleeve.
The watch itself is very nice, I have it since yesterday, unfortunately the NEW piece I bought came with some scratches on the inner part of the bracelet and when closing it, I also saw some minor scratches when closing it. Does this watch really scratch that easily? I also have a steel watch, where I work in the garden, with wood, with animals, and after 1.5 months it looks scratch-free, and things like that. I have already packed this Citizen because I will be returning it, I will not pay over $200 for a used watch where I can get a used one in better condition for $110, but I prefer new equipment anyway.
I disagree slightly. I have the Citizen Sports Black Dial #AW1760-81E. I like it better because it has a bubble over the date that enlarges it enabling me to see it so much better! Also, the bubble makes it look like a Rolex watch.
They discontinued the BM6400 and these that replaced it do not look as nice. That one had a more timeless dial, slightly smaller, better bracelet and clasp, 200m water resistance. Only con the hands were a little on the small side. This is similar, but white lume/markers would be better, the triangle should be upside down. The hands are nice.

I'm from Portugal, here the version they sell is the 88E, but I can't see that difference you talked about 😅 Another thing I found different was that they call the 53E version "Garrison". But apparently the only differences are visual, in relation to the materials and movement they look like the same watch. By the way, here in Portugal it is on sale for 220€, but on Amazon Spain I can find it for about 150€, there is not much difference for the prices from there, it's a beautiful watch 👌

Never need to replace the battery, having no battery. The Power Cell will last years before needing rep;lacement.

I think the 88e is the Europe model. I started to order the 53e for $230 and decided to try the 88e for $190 instead. It will arrive next week. 🤞
Just learned that the 88e has small letters/numbers at the 6oclock whereas the 53e doesn’t.
