- Welcome to the last hurrah of Summer as I explore the sunny seaside town of Walton-on-the-Naze in Essex.
In this 4k walking tour I start up at Naze Tower and nature reserve before making my way down the golden sandy beach (famous for fossil hunting!) through the quirky town centre and onto the vintage pier to check out the funfair rides, arcades and attractions. There is some serious nostalgia as I investigate what’s changed in the many years since I last visited this picturesque and popular holiday destination on the Essex coast! Facilities are plentiful! Yeah, it's a cool area. It's funny how going there as a kid, it was buzzing and was a real destination

Walton is known for people regularly finding shark teeth and has had a megaladon tooth fount there seals are know to be regular visitors aswell
We use to stay at the caravan park for holidays... It was such good fun!
Aah Walton on Naze! First went there on an altar boys outing from Romford in 1972 ish. Thanks for the video - nice memories.

Regular visitor, your drone flew over my in-laws house where we stay when we come down from London.
A friend of mine lives here. Absolutely loves it as it's mainly people over 50 who live there. Out of tourist season moreso - reason why most of the rides were shut.
You do get occasional seals even as far down as the pier.

I live here (for the past 25 years)and its a lovely place to live, the walks and beaches are lovely especially out of tourist season......If you had continued your walk along the beach and walked up to Frinton Esplanade you would have found the one and only pub in Frinton the Lock and Barrel lol
