I grew up in the north so I’m not that familiar with Essex and other southern holiday destinations all I can say is I fell in love with Walton On The Naze when I went there for a family day out. A beautiful place to visit, although I get off the train in Frinton and take the short walk past the beach huts into Walton.❤

The undercover part of the pier has been totally transformed in the last couple of years, and hopefully funding will be found to renovate the rest of the pier, so once again everyone can enjoy the experience of walking half a mile out to sea!! 😎
Loved it there, I was really surprised in the place, i wish I could have spent some more time there and visited more of the places, you are so lucky living in such a beautiful place. My family has had connections to Walton for over forty years after an aunt and uncle had retired there from east London during the early 80’s. It’s a lovely little place and in my opinion is much better than its larger, more brash neighbours, like Clacton, Southend and so on. I am also looking to retire to the area from next year (2025.) My wife and I visited White’s, the pie and mash place, yesterday and the proprietor informed us that the area is now more up and coming due to the various new builds that are being built on old and disused local farm land.
Really enjoyed the nostalgia of this walk with you. I live in Melbourne Australia and was taken to a caravan park at Walton on the Naze many times as a child and loved it all. I was looking at the caravan park last night on RUclips and this morning your channel came up. Easy going and well presented. Cheers
Great vlog👍 I hope to come back to Walton-on-the-Naze one day. I went there for a day out with my grandad when I was 11, and since then its been one of my favourite seaside towns in the UK.
Next time you want to walk along a bit more past the pier and go see Walton Tower and the WWII Pillboxes, some were on the cliffs but due to erosion they are now on the beach and consumed by the sea when the tide comes in. Amazing stuff!
We actually visited here yesterday (why I looked you up). What stood out to me was how quiet it was; a sunny day in the school hols. I think my parents chose this (50 years ago) because of this and the sandy beach. Good vid. X
Great video, brought back some memories for me. We had a caravan in Walton in the late 80s/early 90s, and as a family we spent nearly every weekend, march to october, and every school holiday in Walton. Apart from the pier having a big refurb, it doesn't look too different. My mother and I have booked a caravan there next week and we've even snagged a beach hut for a couple of days, we're eager to see the rest of the town, go up the Naze and explore the area again. I used to love going to Clacton and going to Harwich to the see the boats. Great video man. 😀

Walton is a nice place. I have never seen so many beach huts 👍😁 The Pier is also one of the longest in the UK. 👍👍😁😎

when I visited Walton, I never actually went near the Naze tower, but it was a clear day, and you can see the tower from the Walton pier
