About the man in the yellow coat 🧥 Thank you for your concern. I don’t think he meant any harm. He’s a simple man, and I think he struggled with the language barrier. He panicked that’s why he turned off the bike because he could not explain to me. I only stopped because I thought he was a security guard. And only having the bike for 5 minutes, and accidentally breaking the law by mistakingly driving on the freeway ( I was aware of this rule but google re-routed me last minute and I couldn’t turn around) It worked out best that the police came. Had they not I would have u-turned straight back onto the highway and been in more trouble. But the very kind police showed me a foot path I could escape on. Everyone told me how horrible and strict the police were, But they were very kind with me. They said because I am new to the country, they will give me a warning, and next time I can pay the fine. This experience did not taint my trip, I was only more cautious about freeways and more careful. As a traveller I know different countries have different laws and I try to respect that as much as possible. Pakistan has the same rule. No bikes on freeways. It’s because too many people raced on super bikes and got killed. Some spoil it for all. Not sure of Taiwan gov’t reasons, but I know they like to be OVERLY cautious with anything that might be a potential risk. I'm glad you had a great adventure here. I also love to adventure on motorcycles in Taiwan. I've been living here for nearly 10 years as well and have explored many, many roads, of course by motorcycle. Be careful camping next to rivers, never know when there's a flash rain far up the mountain bringing flooding waters. Be safe!
In rainy season, it is very dangerous to camp near the rive in Taiwan :) some people who are not familier with the nature camped near the river, in the afternoon the weather changed suddenly and bad things happened. something like that happened. 台灣溪流看起來很淺，但下面都有小水渦...希望看影片的人能知道，這需要經驗豐富的人帶領才會安全...即使是一般朔溪跳水的溪流，都是潛藏一些水渦的，在進行戶外活動時需要對該項活動、安全和地理有一些認知.... 3:44 You should turn on the "avoid tolls" but not "avoid highways" BTW, were you riding a 390 adventure? In Taiwan, the traffic law said motorcycles are banned on the freeway (tolled way, plum flower sign, 國道 in Chinese) But it is allowed to ride motorcycles over 250c.c.(yellow or red plates) on expressways (elevated roads or red shield sign, 省道快速公路 in Chinese), which is also marked as "highway" in Google Map. Sorry for the ridiculous traffic law which makes so many restrictions to motorcycles and caused the incident
Like you said, every country got their law. Please kindly follow before the regulation is changed. Taiwanese is mostly kind and welcome foreigner’s visit. Suggest you watch traffic sign carefully since Google is not 100% helpful. The person who stopped you might be rude. That doesn’t mean everyone does the same. Hope you enjoy the stay in Taiwan.
Can't believe that u r so brave to have the journey by urself. But people in the country are kind as I have heard, and the society is quite safe, these will make foreigners feel easy to travel in Taiwan. Hope to see your next video.

In fact, the law that regulates how motorcycle ride on freeway has been published 10 year since. But the government still banned motorcyclist riding freeway for some pretty ridiculous reason.😓😓
In Taiwan, the most suitable time for motorcycle travel is from October to December every year. However, there are obvious differences in spring, summer, autumn and winter in Taiwan, so you can see different Taiwan in different seasons.

台灣的機車不能上國道，如果是台灣人騎上去警察會把你攔下來開單，態度不會像對外國人一樣那麼好，然後強制用拖吊車把機車運下國道，全部的錢都要自己負擔。
所以很多外國人來台灣騎機車都很不習慣，因為台灣的交通法規跟世界通用規則不一樣。在台灣騎機車習慣的人出國也不會騎了，因為台灣250c.c.以下的車左轉要靠右，跟汽車一樣靠左左轉是違規。
在台灣251c.c.以上的機車騎在機車道也是違規，而且不能停在機車格。很多台灣年紀偏大的駕駛認為機車只能靠右騎，合法騎在左邊他會按你喇叭把你逼到右側，造成很多的車禍，可是在台灣被逼車很難檢舉成功。
在台灣每年交通死亡的人數都突破3000人，所以台灣的交通環境並不安全，很多的道路工程跟對用路人的教育都不完善，不過還是歡迎來台灣👍

I'm glad you had a great adventure here. I also love to adventure on motorcycles in Taiwan. I've been living here for nearly 10 years as well and have explored many, many roads, of course by motorcycle. Be careful camping next to rivers, never know when there's a flash rain far up the mountain bringing flooding waters. Be safe!

In rainy season, it is very dangerous to camp near the rive in Taiwan :) some people who are not familier with the nature camped near the river, in the afternoon the weather changed suddenly and bad things happened. something like that happened.

BTW, were you riding a 390 adventure?
In Taiwan, the traffic law said motorcycles are banned on the freeway (tolled way, plum flower sign, 國道 in Chinese)
But it is allowed to ride motorcycles over 250c.c.(yellow or red plates) on expressways (elevated roads or red shield sign, 省道快速公路 in Chinese), which is also marked as "highway" in Google Map.
Sorry for the ridiculous traffic law which makes so many restrictions to motorcycles and caused the incident

In fact, the law that regulates how motorcycle ride on freeway has been published 10 year since. But the government still banned motorcyclist riding freeway for some pretty ridiculous reason.😓😓

In Taiwan, the most suitable time for motorcycle travel is from October to December every year.
However, there are obvious differences in spring, summer, autumn and winter in Taiwan, so you can see different Taiwan in different seasons.
