There is no one who gets a pass at any mistake they make like Kojima except maybe Zack Snyder. He could make his boy crush Geoff the villain of the next game as president of N....A..M ---- Blah and that guy would still crawl a mile on broken glass to drink Kojima's dirty bath water while increasing his stage time at Game Awards with every scene now stating "edited by Kojima" or some other "Kojima self credit call out," while still avoiding any criticism of the product that has his name branded in 2000 places throughout it as you play. ~This paragraph was edited by Hideo Kojima in my head
Kojima is video gaming's Zack Snyder. Some stuff worked but its usually over budget and has a cult that thinks anything made by him is perfection that all should love while explaining away any and all failings. ~Kojima wrote and directed 4 alphabetical characters in this sentence
Kojima wants to make that dream a game but someone has to pay the bills when the investment money runs out. I wonder if the cult will be happy with all the extra gunplay in Death Stranding 2 and explain that away and still defend the first game as a masterpiece. I think we are in for a big twist just like MGS2 and also this almost feels like a “parody” of death stranding in the way that MGS2 was almost poking fun of itself and it’s fan base.

These games are the only I've seen in the triple-A budget category that don't just use art to reframe reality or retell the same old stories but is itself art for the sake of art, trying in every moment to subvert your expectations and create confusing new combinations of emotions.
True. But also give a chance to Alan Wake 2. Sam Lake and Hideo Kojima are heroes in this dark times of mediocre games.. Alan Wake 2 its also a work of art
@@josenunez7422 Virtually all games are art or at least utilize art as a tool, so I have to agree. I think what separates a game like Death Stranding and the sequel from Alan Wake 2 at this budget is that if you were to show this trailer to someone and ask them to explain what the game is about they would genuinely be lost for words or filled with ideas that would be vastly different from any other person you ask, even though every aspect of the game is being executed at the highest levels of the industry.
Alan Wake 2 is well-produced, well-written, and well-performed to tell a story that warps a base reality we're all comfortable with. Death Stranding drops you into a world and story that only ever matches reality in the most superficial ways and uses your most basic expectations and emotional reactions to make you feel and think things that are so different you've probably never felt those emotional combinations before or thought those things before.
There are so few major releases I can think of from the past 5 years that had the ability to disgust me and make me laugh at the same time like my first time seeing the infant in Sam's throat do a thumbs-up from the first game or seeing the hair plucking scene in this trailer right after all those crunchy autopsy sounds only for it to end in a Three Stooges physical comedy bit.

It's cool that they gave Troy Baker even more makeup this time around.
It's also still fascinating that Kojima can continue to make sequel trailers that are just as confusing whether you played the original game or not.

Looking forward to some more EPIC songs playing when i reach certain horizons in the world, those were some epic game scenes in the first game! The one thing that the first game badly missed out on was that there should have been a Audio Player that i could use while doing deliverys and to play any of the games songs whenever i wanted to.
In a year or so we will be playing an absolute masterclass in the art of story telling and gaming. Kojima will not disappoint
