Yeah I hated these guys for messing that up so much and the Troy comments. I feel strongly for Death Stranding and they obviously have the critical thinking skills of a 10year old. Typical GTA/COD players.

Yeah, that’s what everyone thought in mgs v too. Until everyone played the game and realized kojima made trailers with most of the cutscenes from the game. The problem with that is you end up showing too much. Cryptic trailers are fun and all until you play the game and see everything that you’ve seen before.
@@narutocursemarkI can’t speak to that personally, since I’m the type of person to see one trailer and either be in or out, no need to see more. But I see how that can be annoying.
@@narutocursemark I expect DS 2 to have 20+ hours of cutscenes. The first one had like 12 hours of cutscenes. So they'd have to release a lot of trailers for this game to show everything. I can't speak towards MGS V though.
Idk if he is a genius but he is very creative I give him that. Man hits the blunt and manages to pull out a full AAA production out of that bad trip.

Everyone seems to connect Higg's new look to the Joker but I might be wrong but it reminds me more of the Crow. Not sure if its meant to be a Crow reference or not.

Yeah, I saw people making this connection on Twitter. Given how much Kojima loves movies, it is almost certainly The Crow inspired.
Someone even said that the whole coming back from the dead to get revenge thing that Higgs is gonna be doing, was apparently the plot of that movie. And that the character plays a guitar solo on the rooftop.
So yeah. DEF The Crow inspired.

Looking at Higgs here my first thought also went to Joker for a laugh, but he's definitely giving off The Crow vibes considering his resurrection which I think is quite cool, especially with the guitar also. Pretty neat reference

Higgs wasn’t at all “underdeveloped” at all in the first game, he was a villain that stayed consistent as villain to be a great one!
An over the top grandiose villain works the best when they STAY as a villain and we get their reasoning for why they do what they do, and that’s what makes Higgs so great as a villain character! Like with Orochimaru from naruto whose a great villain and stayed a great character villain to his death/sealed away.
This is why Kojima is the legend he is.

Hideo truly is a visionary of the industry. What an epic trailer. Only he can pull off such an in depth and compelling trailer. Brings back the E3 MGS2 trailer vibes.
I have never disagreed more with Huber than over Higgs. For a man who loves MGS, Resident Evil, Bayonetta, and Suda51, calling Higgs too cheesy is just wild
Fantastic trailer kojima is a master at that. I hope gameplay is a bit more packed this time around cause the environments sure are way more unique

I love that Death Stranding isn't "generalized" to cater for a wider audience. It's batshit insane and weird, but somehow it all comes together, and nothing plays and feels like this game.
This team has so much creativity... I can't believe people like Hideo actually exist.

From the way it's being described, it sounds like Kojima's newer I.P. might be a PlayStation 6 game. If it's super early in production then there is no way it's making it anywhere during or at the tail end of the PS5's lifecycle.

This trailer was mental... In both good and bad ways. The narrative and story looks engaging as the first one was. The actual environments and some gameplay sequences look very impressive, the avalance/the flooding river/the thing flying in front of the moon.
But... there is so many whacky additions here that I'm unsure of, the Billy the Puppet character, the David Bowie guitarist, the hand face mask...
I'm hoping that the game is a little deeper and fleshed out than just transporting. The first was a very enjoyable game, but after 25 hours I got a little tired of the repetition.
Also, beautiful face and boday capture, as well as stunning environments
Well in the first game its just the one map, the scenery is the same the entire game. Now that its on PS5 they can do multiple huge zones with vastly different terrain and scenery.

Umm.. i figured the first Death Stranding was a lil Kojima bizarre/goofy like MGS but that was like Kingdom Hearts lore lvl of incoherent.
It's like a parody of Kojima.
Not sure about that. It seems like more of the same but with some wacky additions. MGS2 has a fat terrorist on roller skates that the plot takes very seriously. lol.
An electric guitar that shoots electricity is campy fun but it isn't incoherent.

The original Death Stranding trailers were much more intriguing and exciting. And I'm a fan of that game, especially the gameplay and exploration, but not so much the jumbled narrative by the time it all ended.
Now this DS2 trailer is too silly and actually dampens the interest I had in playing it. I would be more likely to grab it on release if I went in blind rather than having watched all the hijinks and boring campiness with Higgs. As someone in the above comments said, this sequel really jumps the shark.
