My Husband Always Blame Me!

There are some games that are fun to play as a couple…perhaps you love Monopoly, or What’s The Meme, or maybe you are pretty competitive and a good game of Taboo gets you going! There is one game, however, that every couple may find themselves playing at some point in their relationship. The thing about this game - there is no winner!
Have you ever found yourself in the “blame game?” This isn’t a board game or your favorite card game. This is a finger pointing game in which all participants lose in the end. In fact, the only way to win at the blame game, is to stop playing it. The finger pointing has to start with the person in the mirror taking some accountability for their role in the situation. After all, change starts with you, not with the other person. When we start taking accountability for our own actions, no matter how hard that is, we change our relationships for the better and we ultimately gain a new perspective on whatever the situation may be. This is where growth happens.
So walk through these scenarios with us as we play the blame game, but with some fictional characters. If you must, insert yourself into the scenarios and then answer - who is to blame? And what would you do?
