  • With an estimated 1200 homes take. Over by squatters in Atlanta it should be considered more of an invasion or act of terrorism. If we criminalized squatting of maintained residential properties we would be able to send in the National Guard to sweep it clean. I share my advise to home owners and what I would do to solve the problem.

This has been going on for a year and a half, the evection is almost done.
If other people are under income and they have squatters. They can ask the judge to waiver the fee for the evection. And the serving fees.

Im learning by experience. And I belive the media should he falled in durning the police getting them off the property. So other people know not to let them in their rentals

@@user-fb4mj9mi8d you are correct but you are speaking eviction to someone who teaches alternative methods. The laws fail homeowners. I don’t evict, there are no documents. Their names and faces will be entered into the database on Squatterhunters.com(in progress) so people will know not to lease to them.

I have never heard of this before. Is it the same across the US? In Perth Australia a two bedroom appartment would cost US$450 per week and there would be 50 people with money trying to get the property.

People are angry but still afraid to sign a petition. Politicians only care about voters. If I can’t get over a 100k to sign nothing will happen. After months it’s under 12k. That’s sad.

In Colorado Springs, CO, we were having major problems w squatters moving in while military folks were on deployment, besides the 'usual' situations. It was brought to the attention of our state legislators in the Co Springs area, via the news media doing reports on TV.
In 2018, Senate Bill SB18-015 was passed giving much more rights to Home Owners, & more legal actions available to police officers to evict squatters. Politicians can do something about it, but if often takes getting news coverage first. The politicians were able to get support from the CO Association of Realtors as well.

But i applaud you for taking on this role , but i do believe your charging people way to much to do this duty. If you trully care about cleaning up this situation you wouldnt break these people bank accounts. You should charge according to the difficulty in getting the squatters out. So if it takes you a matter of going threw a window and then having the house secured i think 5000 dollars is way to much to charge. But if you have a situation where your life was threatened and you really had to work to secure a place , then 5000 dollars is reasonable.

He is putting himself in a potentially violent situation. His fee is far less than the owners would lose (have stolen from them) in potential rent and damages along with legal fees to follow the very broken process of doing it the "legal" way (he actually does nothing illegal). The nice thing is that currently there is nothing stopping you from volunteering your time and doing it for free or undercutting his fees. It is economics 101, there is a demand, it's dangerous, and anyone can compete him out of business.
