Also, in hindsight, having his son with him not only taught both of them important life lessons..but also gave the dad even more motivation/desperation to strive for his career while fighting through their struggles. I was very young when I saw this movie. My dad had always told me to go after what I want no matter what anyone says, including him. He told me this before I watched the movie and so I was able to relate to it a lot. I have a tattoo of the title of the movie on the inside of my forearm. Everyday I wake up, I get to see it and remind myself “be happy for another day of life” This is probably my #1 movie. Also read the book (memoir) that inspired the movie as well. Fantastic read
