Finally. An Overland video about NM without overly generic coffee house rock and no self discovery whilst going through an existential crises. Just off roading, camping, and fun

You deserve it dude. Videos are great quality, and your adventures would make most people jealous. I appreciate the commentary, you're well spoken and confident. Keep up the good work my dude!
I love New Mexico! Thanks for the video. I was born and raised in Tucson and lived here for 30 years then move to Silver City for 12, Santa Fe 7 and Velarde 1. Now I'm back in Tucson and I've been back for 3 yrs.but my heart is in New Mexico so I will be moving back to Silver City next summer. That's so cool you guys have the perfect trucks for off-roading and I love your dog. I have 2 little ones myself and I travel everywhere with them. I've been to the Gila Forest and all the surrounding area. It's so beautiful 😍...thanks again for the video. I hope you get to visit morer places in New Mexico. Jemez mountains, Wheeler peak, Hyde park, Dixon area, the Gorge in Taos and so much more!
Just found this video. Great job, nice editing and content. Now I need to check out your other NM vid's. I am researching Gila Forest for a Nov. camping/overlanding trip this year. I plan to head South on Northstar Rd (61) from HWY 59 a few miles and base camp 3 days. Then ride SxS around. My other base will be south down 226 from HWY 59 for 3 days and explore from there on SxS. Lookout Mtn., Chloride, etc. If I got time I'll head over to Mt. Withington area for 2 days. I have a couple of out's marked north of Hwy 60 in case of bad weather. Enjoyed your video, thx.
Thanks for watching! That whole area is killer, chloride canyon was closed a couple months ago, the road was totally washed out so I’d keep an eye out on New Mexico national forest website to see if it’s been reopened cuz that was one bad ass trail!
Great video! Where do you put your dog at night when you sleep? I thought about getting a roof top tent, but my dog usually sleeps with me in the tent. It would be hard to carry him up the ladder. He weighs about 90 lbs.
Thanks Brian! I used to put her up in then tent on extremely cold nights but usually in the cab on a platform. I now have a Flippac camper so much easier for her to get in and out and less shoulder pressing my 110# dog over my head
Chains would have been nice for a lot of those hill climbs. We lucked out and didn’t find any fallen trees. Surprising with all the fire torched areas.
@@Whitedogoverland Yeah, chains are a necessity for ice. In those canyons the sun can melt it and then the evening freezes it solid and very smooth. For deep snow like you ran into chains can help but won't keep you from being high centered by snow packing in underneath the truck.
Nice video man. RUclips recommended it to me this morning, probably because I live here in Silver City, lol. Hopefully you enjoyed the Gila. 😁
Thanks man! You’re a lucky dude being able to live so close to the gilas. Absolutely killer area

Man I just spit out my drink that’s hilariously spot on. New Mexico is rad I’m definitely going to hit that whole state eventually!

Nice to see a fellow musician and overland enthusiast 🤙 Cool vid
It certainly provides a nice attribute to camping!

New Mexico is some under rated. Getting ready to head to the enchanted Rockies next weekend and really looking forward to that one!
Great videos man. Running out to New Mexico this August for a couple weeks
Much appreciated! Where are you headed?
Am working my way through your videos trying to catch up. One a day.
Thank you for watching! Got another one for ya this weekend!
Cool content, never seen anyone overland the Gila
Thanks! It was partially the reason I was drawn to explore it. I think Lifestyle Overland did a series in northern Gila.
Subaru approved. Easy route.

@@Whitedogoverland Thanks for the reply. I’ll check out the Flippac camper.
Been through there a couple times when I had to chain up. Especially if you need to back up the hill due to trees down. Bring a chainsaw.
