Dodge Promaster Key Stuck in Ignition- Fix

  • Here seems to be a common problem with the Dodge Promaster and the key getting stuck in the ignition.
    Low voltage to the vehicle or dead battery can cause this or the solenoid failing in this case is the most common reason.
    Using rope/string to act as a spacer and keeping the lock pin open seems to work fine over the last couple months.

    Check your battery,
    terminal was loose on mine and would cause the locking of the key

      Yes the battery is the first and most common fix and cause. The solenoid can fail and cause issues too.
