Great video Scott, I loved it! Full of precious informations, as well as fantastic photos. My favourite are the rabbits with yellow flowers. Amazing!! See you Scott.
Love your videos! The topics that you choose to talk in your content, they are very interesting and different from all the rest on youtube! Keep them coming! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I often shoot in the mountains and if there are peaks in the east, golden hour doesn't really happen. It goes from blue hour to harsh(ish) sun because the angle is already pretty high by the time the sun clears the peaks. I guess I'll have to go to the other side of the mountains! :)
I know the feeling. I sometimes photograph birds at the bottom of a deep valley. By the time the sun has got high enough for bright light it can be quite harsh. So you're right, a lot depends on the location. Thanks for watching.
Fantastic shots, really like the golden light rabbits, especially the one of the two 'kissing', very cute. For me I can really only go out early at golden hour sunrise or late for golden hour sunset, as if I was out all day (regularly) my wife wouldn't be too happy, she'd think I'm avoiding her 😂
As an aside, I just discovered Capture One Express (for Sony) is free. I was looking for lightroom alternatives before purchasing lightroom (doing some research before buying), and I'm going to save ££ and give Capture One a real go. Thought I'd share since you use sony and many of your viewers may use Sony and may find this info useful. Cheers
Hi. Sure, I will do something like that at some point, but in the mean time this one covers a lot about how to chose a position: ruclips.net/video/NESkYTb5LV4/видео.html and this one covers how I scout for wildlife: ruclips.net/video/Wzyvy7y9b0A/видео.html. Thanks for the suggestion and for watching.
You got some most endearing captures of those rabbits, Scott. I love the golden hour ones and the backlit ones. Some great tips and advice as always! Thank you!
I would just like to say another excellent video and totally agree morning and early evening are my two favourite times of the day.I would also like to agree that this time of year the early mornings are brilliant as there is nobody about for hours giving you the time to catch those wildlife images that people miss.👍
Hi Scott. Great video. I used to stay out sunrise to sunset but stopped after going back into the office after Covid restrictions lifted. I have not done that in a long time. I usually get out 30 minutes before sunrise but my lens does not focus well in low light so I no longer bother. But I do get some great shots of places where the sun beams are breaking through the darkness of morning/forest. I’m hoping to change my lens out early in the new year. I want to be able to get those moments of blue light. Anyway, I stay out until the wildlife becomes less active, about noonish, but you’re right. I should be able to stay out longer occasionally. Thanks for the great examples. As always, great to have the opportunity to learn from you!! Tammy
hello lovely video, i didnt even know blue light was a thing! i have a question, i recently got a nikon d7200 witch is great i love it but my cheap tamron 15-270mm is starting to feel to short! Do you have any recommendations of lenses sub 300$ for wildlife? thanks in advance! linus
Hi. Glad you enjoyed it. About your question - is that in US dollars? If so, you'll probably struggle to find a long lens going up to 600mm for $300. Keep your eyes out for a used Tamron 150-600mm, but I think you'd be lucky to find one for under $500. It's a good lens though, so if you can save the extra money for it, it would be worth it. Thanks for watching.
Hej.
Svalbard, Sydafrika
Nice video but worthless to me since where I live the public accessible areas for wildlife are in parks that open at 8AM and close at dusk. This is less a problem in winter when sunrise is closer to 8AM but in July access roads are locked until later than Golden Hour.
Surely there are other places to photograph wildlife - wildlife is everywhere. Some local woodland perhaps? Your garden? Or even urban wildlife? Afterall, photographs of pigeons in cities have won international photography competitions in the past - it doesn't have to be somewhere remote. Thanks for watching nonetheless.
I thought your images were beautiful and you managed to show “ just a bunny” in very evocative ways, as stunning as any big 5 image .
Thank you Deborah, that's very kind of you to say. Thanks for watching.
Thank you, entertaining and lots of info along with beautiful pictures.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching.

Glad you enjoyed it. You're best to stick to what you're doing then, I don't want to be responsible for an angry wife! 🤣

Interesting, I'd not heard about this free offer. I'll check it out. Thanks for sharing.
Can you please make a video on finding shooting spots and how to position yourself for photoshoot?

Hi Tamara. Good stuff, it is hard to fit all this in around life, in general. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching.
