Good to hear from you. I've enjoyed your videos for a long time. I agree, you can see and hear some interesting stuff while they are working the cars. Thanks for your comment and thanks for your videos.
Glad you liked it. I agree, gives the video a different feel and the scanner adds context to what you're watching. I'm glad you pointed that out because that's what I try to do whenever possible. Thanks for your comment
Those look like stacked 220 mhz PTC antennas and I don't know if that top antenna is a VHF or a ATCS 900 mhz antenna This is one of the few railroads that actually has ATCS in the locomotives so each locomotive has an ATCS number
Great video with some great switching to pick up some tankers. Big fan of the GEEPS providing the head end power to move that HEFTY little consist of mixed freight cars! Thanks for sharing this awesome video and I'm a new subscriber of your channel from Laurel, Delaware USA.
A true No Frills local without a single box car. Those covered hoppers look like they're in Lime loading service and a special salute to the two ex CNW but esp the two ex ROCK veterans
Wickes is no longer a town. It used to be, but then was incorporated into the city of Arnold I think in 1972. I still refer to it as Wickes because the UPRR siding there is named Wickes.
I'm sorry, I just figured out you meant the scanner that you hear the crew talking on. I feel dumb. It is just the cheapie Baofeng digital scanner. I can usually hear the dispatcher but, can only hear the crew if they are within a couple miles at the most. It works for what I do, but there are times I wish it had a farther reach. I can get you the model number if you need it.Sorry for my dumbness.
Nice you caught them picking up cars stored on a siding. That's a funny ending too
That was a fun one to record. i like that spot. You gotta love The Three Stooges.
🤣 yep
that was pretty cool. I like seeing switching videos

You are correct about the lime hoppers. They come from St. Genevieve MO. from Mississippi Lime.
Even railroaders like Andy Griffith 😂
That was funny and I was certainly not expecting that to come over the radio. The 57 crew will keep you on your toes with some funny stuff.
"Tank Car" not Tanker. Tankers are ships.
I didn't know that... Thanks.
Great video! I just subscribed to your channel

“Tankers” are boats - rail cars are “tank cars”.
I thought "Tankers" were ships not boats.
Only place I know of wickes is in Arkansas. But that's cpkc. Used to be kcs
I'm going to have to look that up. I'm not sure where that is in Arkansas.
@@Woofmeter there is a town called wickes Arkansas close to mena
Why did he whistle after the track warrant with dispatch 😂
I have no idea, but it was funny and caught me by surprise.
It's a little town in Arkansas

Lol touché
