I haven't seen conductor Kevin for a couple weeks now and engineer Ben has been missing lately. Thinking he might be on vacation. Brakeman Justin has been gone since the UP took the brakeman off the local. Things are always changing.

It's music to my ears but not so much for her and I noticed the dogs get quiet when it's playing.

I know, it seems like it's in the woods out in the middle of nowhere but, it's just half mile south of the wickes crossing.

Wickes is located at the end of Wicks Rd. It's in Arnold You take Telegraph Rd. Off Jeffco and Wicks is about 3/4 of a mile down Telegraph on your right. It seems secluded but there are houses all around up on the bluff above the tracks. If you walked the tracks from Wickes to Kimmswick is only two miles. Does that help?

@@kens.3729 This video is Forty minutes long and basically highlights from 2024. My wife was yelling at me when I was making it because she said it's loud and annoying. She's not a fan and will definitely give it a thumbs down 👎

Riverside is the UP name for this siding, but it is located in Pevely Missouri about 27 miles south of St. Louis.

Did you hare the female conductor call me a "foamer"? Yea she did. She opened the window to wave at me as she went by then told the other train coming there was a "foamer" at the crossing. I never thought of myself as a "foamer" Can old guys be "foamers"?

In Jefferson County (MO) between Arnold and Imperial. Near where Meramec River dumps into the Mississippi River.

I like Wickes. It has a secluded felling to it but it's really not. There is stuff all around.

Yes, I believe that is the case. I'm glad you liked the video. It's funny because I make a lot of trips from the north and south ends of the yard, I sometimes pass the police three or four times.

i noticed that rough lookin unit also. Rough life for sure. I would like to see a modeler try that one.

I love the audio. i also wanted to mention that a conductor told me the UP took the brakeman off the 57. So, they just have engineer and conductor when they go out.

That's why i like the 57. Always a party. I have not seen conductor Kevin for a while. I thought he might have been on vacation, and he may be. I hope he returns.

That was shot at DeSoto Missouri, about 40 miles south of St. Louis, on the DeSoto Sub. The UP-car shop is there. Nice to hear from you Jeff. If you need more info let me know.

I’m in the Marion Subdivision & we GET coal drags & locals that go thru Marion to Paducah KY & we also have BNSF on Beardstown Subdivision Goes from Galesburg too metropolis Ill There’s more BNSF then UP that goes thru Marion too Paducah KY

Friends are always welcome. Watching trains is interesting and you never know what you might see or hear. I live close to the UP DeSoto Sub and the BNSF River Sub and can hear horns from the River Sub. when they go through Arnold Park. Thanks for your comments and I'll do my best on more UP action.

Those are exactly the things, you mentioned, that I also enjoy. i got lucky with the 1450 working that outside track. It was close and made for some good sound. Thanks for your comment.

The 72 starts about 8 or 9am from what I have seen and the 57 shows up anywhere between 11 and 12:30 depending on what's going on. The 57 does not go to DeSoto on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Hope that helps. So glad you enjoyed the video.
