There are plenty of fish in the ocean, what are you on about? Long line is a better method as there aren't as many unintentional fish caught, but unfortunately all methods are going to cause issues somehow. They're helping feed people, so🤷🏻♀️

My winter season we fished with rod for about twenty ton of bass. By catch was probably less that one percent, and that was either returned alive or eaten. I get where your coming from certain trawling has huge amounts of by catch with tons a day dumped back dead. Just not on my boat.

But it is the very recent global rise in sea temperature which will be the devastating factor .... there is no way that fish species can evolve quickly enough to survive the effects of warmer water.

It was a cod. Cod over 8 kg don’t fit in the freezer so they go in bags

Rubbish Ive been jigging pollock for twenty years, not 1% by catch and we ate them.
